Young Man - Week 8 - w/e 7/26/20
PROMPT: Write a poem where you tell someone they are wrong and why.

Young Man

You think you know about the world
And all that crawls beneath the sky.
In truth, the facts are all unfurled
Betwixt our birth and day we die.

In youth, I sneered at older men
And also thought I knew it all.
But years have taught me what I pen.
You’ll laugh at me until you fall.

High accolades belong to few.
Like me, you’ll age and lose your edge.
One day, you’ll learn this lesson too:
The wise beware before they pledge.
