Mayberry RFD 2020.. WOKE!

Andy is reading his paper when he hears a heavy diesel motor.
"What?" Andy's jaw drops open.
Barney pops up from the turret of a Sherman tank.
"Hey! What do ya think? I got it from the army surplus yard."
Barney smacks the side of the turret.
The townspeople gather around the tank in front of the courthouse.

Andy rubs his head, "Barney! We don't need a tank! Take it back!"
"Sherif is there an invasion comin?" a farmer asks.
Andy waves to the people and gives a toothy smile, "No-no-no."
"My deputy is overreacting again," Andy asks Barney to come inside.
Barney enters the courthouse in military body armor with a rifle.
Andy takes the rifle and locks it up, "Barney what are you doing?"

"Don't you watch Fox News? They're riots and looting everywhere!"
Barney grabs Andy's shoulders, "There's only two of us!"
Barney starts pacing, "We need more deputies; a militia!"
"This is 1776 all over again!" Barney sits down at his desk.
Andy puts his hand on Barney's shoulder, "We don't have a militia."
"This is a rural farming community." Andy takes off Barney's helmet.

Andy sits back down behind his desk, where he doubles as the town judge.
"This will all blow over after the elections." Andy puts his boots up on his desk.
Barney looks up at the clock, "Oh, gawd. I'm late for my date with Thelma."
Andy smiles and opens his newspaper, "That's something you can fix!"
"I'd take the camo off. I don't think Thelma would like that."
Barney's eyes pop, "I bought you one!"
Barney stomps off to his bedroom and slams the door.
