It's Mostly My Fault Yesterday
It’s Mostly My
Fault Yesterday

About three-fourth of my shift equals seventy-five percent. Why am I pointing this out? It’s because I only got six single paragraphs written for the movie Scene Outline of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. That equals one single paragraph per hour. That’s not very good. At least I don’t think that it is.

Why didn’t I get more written yesterday at work? There are usually two reasons why: work or the weather. Unfortunately, it was neither one. It was kind of busy at work yesterday. Especially, during the last couple of hours while I was involved in an incident that required an Incident Report. But it wasn’t as busy as it has been on a Wednesday for the last several weeks.

The weather was kind of bad too. But it wasn’t too bad. It was a little bit hot. And the humidity was a tad high. But like work, it wasn’t as bad as it has been for a Wednesday. I was also lucky that I wasn’t on my feet as much yesterday. Also, I wasn’t outside of my guard post too much either.

So, why didn’t I get more writing done yesterday at work? The answer to that question is me. And there are two reasons why I didn’t write more. One of those reasons was a lack of concentration. The other reason is all the re-writes that I did for almost every single paragraph that I wrote.

I don’t know why. But I had a lot of trouble concentrating on my writing. That’s probably why I did so many re-writes too. I knew what I wanted to write. But I had trouble doing it. Some of those re-writes were only a sentence or two or a few words. And some were the whole paragraph or almost the whole one.

It wasn’t all my fault, though. about a fourth of my shift work was to blame for me not getting any more writing done. First, I had the incident happen. Then I had to write up an IR on it during some of the busiest times of my shift. And after that, I didn’t feel like doing any more writing. I tried to do it. And I didn’t get one more single paragraph written. but that’s all I felt like doing.

Today, I’m going to continue working on this project. I don’t know how many single paragraphs that I will get done today. But I’m hoping it will be between ten and fifteen. I do know one thing, though. It can’t be too much worse than it was yesterday. Especially, if work and the weather are the same today.
