These Are My JOTtings, Part #2

Tallahassee

The runner's pace in rain is now quite slow
as light is dancing off the sidewalk's sheen.
Cars splosh along the street so newly clean.
All trees of sopping boughs are bowing low.
Bright colored lights around the city grow
from green to yellow, then to red and green.
The cricket's song at night as bird's do preen
lifts hearts with hopeful light to rest and glow.
