Wading Through

Wading through a muddy bog,
to find a sure foot stand.
Often I must slowly slog,
quite hindered in my plan.

It seems as though the world is full
of dirt and watered truth.
We take a stand against the pull
the wrong way from our youth.

A sodden perch of grimy grass
relieves some muscle pain,
but afterward what way to pass
amid the building rain?

Oh, Maker of the world, that spins
and keeps its course to You.
Please, keep us faithful through Your win,
to make our world anew.
