Shakespearean Sonnet: "Winter is Here"
The cold has come to rest December first.
It nips at roots of plants and toes of man.
We exercise, forgetting of our thirst,
but drink we must our water by a plan.

The decoration lights do warm our hearts.
Hot choc'late makes the tummy laugh and smile.
'Tis Christmas with its wondrous wholes and parts
keeps lives so merry, times away we while.

A homeless man may find some sheltered place,
preventing rain, and keeping winds at bay,
but fending cold's a daily shame, disgrace
for those, who have no Earthly home to stay.

"I ask Thee, Lord, to keep these neighbors warm.
Protect them all through winter's daily harm."
