Now that that's out of the way, I figured if everyone else can have a blog full of inner contemplation and philosophical nonsense, so can I. I'm fairly opinionated and as a married mom of four, I definitely have plenty of goings on in my life to journal about in here. I could post on anything that crosses my mind, including but not limited to topics such as:

My views on politics, religion, and the war.

Anything and everything having to do with my kids.

The things my husband does to piss me off, and how great he is when he's not pissing me off.

along with my more serious and philosophical topics like:

Why do some farts stink and others don't?

If I was a chicken, why would I cross the road?

and more importantly

Why do we say "taking a shit" when we're really depositing one?

If any of these topics sound up your ally, then kick up your feet, grab a virtual beer out of my virtual cooler, and share your thoughts on my thoughts.

NO ASSHOLES ALLOWED

I don't mind someone expressing an opinion different than my own, but I'm not going to tolerate belligerant, abusive assholes who want to argue with me because I don't see things their way. If you get shitty or cop an attitude, I'll take back my virtual beer and delete all of your current and future posts.

I have often thought about you and wondered how you and the kids were. I left WDC but as you can see came back. Things are going very well
for me. I went through a major mid life crisis but I think the worse is over, I hope anyways, LOL. Caitlin started Jr. High this year so that was hard
to swallow. Lexi's baby girl, Alayna just turned three and that was really hard to swallow. She is my girl. And believe me when I tell you she is a Nannie's girl.
I spend a lot of time with her. My photography business is going great! Business is thriving so that is a good thing. I still write, mostly in my blog, which is a photography blog as well and if you are interested you can find it here:

I have faith in your families endurance Maggie. Several years ago I drove from Ashland Ohio on a Friday evening and arrived in some I don't know what town in Conneticotte. On the following Saturday morning around noon. I can't really say it was a town, every where we went all we saw was pavement and concrete and one town connected to another.
The town was built on hills, so many drive ways were on a serious incline and I can't imagine how those people could park a car in the winter. I had several visionary thoughts of the locals waking up to hear vehicles sliding from their perches and crashing into others or homes. An absolutlely dreadful place.
We left Sunday morning and returned Monday morning and I made to work at 7:00 A:M. That was a miserable day.
By the way young lady, I see your in the Nano Wri Mo. My first time and I am going for something totally new, way out of my norm.
Your baby girl is a cuttie, spoil her and she'll love you for it. I think.

Okay, cramped in the car for a massive road trip. First off, it's getting chilly over here, but the windows can come down if some one shits themselves. I'm pretty sure it's going to happen. If your driving, you can have revenge, especially if everyone is sleeping. Crack the opposite rear window so it will suck the fart through that tiny slit. You only want a small crack, the smaller the better. Trust me, someone will wake up. You'll be innocent of course. You never noticed the pungeont odor, tired and all and besides, everyone has an odor about them being cramped in the car together. It could have been anyone. As far as the cracked window, you never noticed it.

What a loser am I with lousy 2000 miles to Spain and back, eh?

but seeing the family's joy about Amelia will make up for it.

I hope you enjoy your stay home despite the drama to get there.

Someday I'll get back to the Carolinas. There's a writer's conference I want to go to at the end of July. But... I'm not feeling up to more travel and after my two-week trip to Costa Rica, I fear I'll be even less so inclined.

Montana is far away from anywhere, including California!

I wrote a piece a few years ago that I called Communification. You may have seen it. I don't have it in my port anymore, but two paragraphs went like this:

Aside from mistakes or duplicity (intentional or otherwise), there are words that just don’t say what they mean. After all, we park on our driveways and drive on our parkways; our noses run and our feet smell. Grocery store circulars are rectangular. This is probably the result of someone’s grand design to keep people guessing.

Then there are words that are inadvertently distorted by their users, and through their colloquialism, become accepted parts of the language. Take, for example, “irregardless.” Though probably a blend of “irrespective” and “regardless,” it really breaks down to mean the opposite of what it says. And how about “inflammable,” which means, oddly enough, “flammable.” If indecent means, “in really poor taste,” why doesn’t ingenious mean, “really stupid?” And since “oversight” is either the act of overseeing or the result of inattention, is Congressional Oversight a responsibility or an excuse?

I don't know where we come up with stuff like that. How about "drinking like a fish?"

Better to be pissed off than pissed on, Maggie. Haven't communicated in a while. Sounds like my feeling when I lost my hard drive a couple of months ago, with no backup. Fortunately, I was able to salvage about 90% of my life. Sounds like, otherwise, things are good, eh?
