I left the beach very very early Saturday morning heading for Charlotte. The purpose..... you ask.......... to rescue another puppy  Yep, I've lost it!!! Now, I have two of the little critters and the cat is looking at me like I have truly lost it... Ok, so was there a doubt?  His name is Milan, though that HAS to change, and he is the same color as Charley. I'm thinking "Lucky" since it's the first time I've been to Charlotte in many years and didn't get lucky so then I could say I went and got "Lucky"  Ok, lack of sleep is making me silly. The crew and I didn't get home until very late last night. I'll take pictures as soon as my camera batteries are charged..... Oh, by the way....... Did you know that there is now a bypass around Orgasm City Laurinburg????? That means Charlotte is getting closer to the beach.... | Ok, I hijacked mom's blog and I have a few things I need to say. There are a few people who have been doing pet peeve blogs lately or talking about how cute or vicious we are....... Well, I'd like to have my say. A doggy friend of mine sent me the following about our biggest doggie pet peeves..... shhhhhhh Don't tell mom! '1' Blaming your farts on me..... not funny... not funny at all !!!   -------------------------------------------------- '2' Yelling at me for barking. I'M A FRIGGIN' DOG, YOU IDIOT!  -------------------------------------------------- '3' Taking me for a walk, then not letting me check stuff out. Exactly whose walk is this anyway?  -------------------------------------------------- '4' Any trick that involves balancing food on my nose. Stop it!  -------------------------------------------------- '5' Any haircut that involves bows or ribbons. Now you know why we chew your stuff up when you're not home.  -------------------------------------------------- '6' The sleight of hand, fake fetch throw. You fooled a dog! Woooo Hoooooooo, what a proud moment for the top of the food chain.  -------------------------------------------------- '7' Taking me to the vet for "the big snip", then acting surprised when I freak out every time we go back!  -------------------------------------------------- '8' Getting upset when I sniff the crotches of your guests. Sorry, but I haven't quite mastered that handshake thing yet.  -------------------------------------------------- '9' Dog sweaters. Hello ??? Haven't you noticed the fur?  -------------------------------------------------- '10' How you act disgusted when I lick myself. Look, we both know the truth. You're just jealous.  -------------------------------------------------- Now lay off me for some of these things. We both know who the boss is here! You don't see me picking up your poop, do you? I'm in so much trouble! Here comes mom! WAIT! Maybe I can look innocent. Do you think she'll believe me?  |
| Well, lady luck was on my side for a change. I finally made it back from my trip. The class was great and I learned loads of new stuff about tax collecting. The hotel was awesome and had some great amenities including a heated pool and restaurants galore. I left Greensboro very early Friday morning and headed to the casino. This is the first time I've been there alone and was a little nervous about it but it worked out great AND I came home today with $240 more than I left with.... woohoo.... They must have forgotten who I was and turned the machines back on for me!!! Anyway, it was a profitable and fun trip but the drive was for the birds!! Now, I'm going to see what I can spend my winnings on...... I missed my little pooch and he didn't seem too mad for me leaving him! Yea, that's probably where the money will go cause I feel the guilt.... Luv ya, mean it |

You people really keep me on my toes! I don't need the 'update your blog' reminder thingy cause I have my blogville friends. I know I'm not keeping you updated but too much is going on. I finished the spring cleaning to include windows, baseboards, window seals, floors, cabinets. Now, all I have left are two big closets.  NO, I am NOT for hire so don't even ask....... I had to call in the professionals to help me! I'm trying to get ready to leave for a class in Greensboro next week. Charley is staying with my mother so I have to go by way of her house. I am NOT happy about leaving him but life does happen. I'll be in class all week and then on to the CASINO for a night of luck! Haven't been in a while and I feel lucky..... This weekend is supposed to be beautiful and here's what is happening in my world. "It's beautiful! I was a complete tourist yesterday.  Southport, NC is an old historic town about 5 or 6 miles from me. There are shops aligning a 'walkable' old town. Yesterday, I visited the coffee shop that has been there for quite a while. I am a die-hard coffee drinker. I normally do not do the different kinds and tend to stick to regular coffee with creme and sugar. Yesterday, I had my first iced coffee latte. Then I started walking....... I went down by the waterfront around by Provision Company back around the yacht basin to the marina. From there, I walked to the new condos and back around to the car. My gawd, it was over a mile and most of it was uphill. It was so good for me and the sun was shining and it was a grand walk. I saw the house where "Crimes of the Heart" was filmed. I saw boats that I could only afford in my biggest dreams. I saw dolphins and fishermen and little kids playing in the sun. What a grand day!!!! Then I slept like a baby..... So, how was your Sunday? |

LOL > Miss ya Diva~" Well, I never was very good at homework and I've failed at the journal writing. I have been a busy girl this week. Monday and Wednesday night, I went to yoga. I took my dad to supper on Thursday night. Friday night, I tried to clean out my port a bit. Between all that, I'm doing some spring cleaning. Yes, I did baseboards and ceiling fans and closets. I don't want people in my life to think that I'm always a terrible housekeeper. Speaking of people, have you ever realized it's either feast or famine? When you put yourself back out into the real world, people come out of the woodwork. I've actually had two dates this week with two different people. One I met last weekend when I went out to eat with Trish and one is a friend of a friend. Of course, men are still men and since I don't sleep around we'll see how long they hang around. It'll be fun while it lasts..... I'm just not that excited about nurturing a new love life right now. I'm having too much fun with the animals and the yoga and work. Work is gearing up for some awesome technology changes and I'm very excited about it....... Ok, Fleckster, is that enough to let you know that I'm smiling and working and loving life..... |
| It seems I have a celebrity on my hands! I submitted a picture of Charley to a Pomeranian website and I got an email this morning. It was a congratulatory email and it was addressed to Charley!!! http://petpom.com/Pom_of_the_Month.html Ok, he'll be doing a paw-a-graph signing in weeks to come. Stand by for dates and times....... Coming soon to a location near you!!! Still hanging in with the yoga. I actually like it though I do get sore from all the stretching. This is my first entry of the new month so I'm gonna try to give you an insight into each day's mood. I said I would try. I'm updating the "Paradise Cove Writing Challenge-On Hold" for the month of April so be sure to check it out. We're doing a photo prompt this month! celestial has turned over "BLOG RING" to me until she is able to return. She's having some life issues and I told her I would keep it alive until she could come back and breathe new life into it. I NEED all the advice I can get! I don't need help with it, just ideas as to how to revive it. Her general idea was to get bloggers to know other bloggers, to get them to rate and review other bloggers and in turn receive more exposure for their own. Come on guys, I know we have some imaginative souls in Blogville....... Ok, short and sweet entries....... Charley says hi!!!!!! |
| I went to my first "in person" therapy visit last week and was given homework. I have been told that I'm not as crazy as I think I am. (another) I may be ADHD... (another) (e:shock) Hell, I could be a therapist when I grow up... Homework consists of: 1. Writing in a journal at least three days a week.... (ok, so you guys are gonna hear from me a lot more but hey, at least you'll know what mood I'm in) 2. Do something social at least once a week that does not include work {ie: out to supper, movies, whatever.... uh, does my Wed, now changed to Thurs night date with my dad count??) 3. Start an exercise program of at least 5 to 10 minutes a day (Does the new yoga class count as exercise??) And she said to get off the prozac.....gradually, of course.... ok, now I'll really jump off the bridge... No, she just doesn't think I need to be medicated by a doctor from the urgent care. She wants to see me "without" the drugs.... So, the first of April I am going to start this new "change your life" program. Somebody better get the "atta boy" choir rolling.... On a good note, I went out to dinner with my girlfriend, Trish, from the hospital ER on Friday nite. We had a great time and I was glad to be out among the living, breathing people. I went to the new HUGE Walmart in Leland on Saturday. That is the biggest dang store I've ever ever seen. Their garden shop is as big as our whole Walmart!!!!! Last nite I had earned the right to stay home and do nothing! Yah!!! I did some reviewing that I was behind on and found some awesome stories and the beginning chapters of a new book that a friend is working on. If you get a chance, stop by and read The Cowboy  's new chapters and new short stories. I promise you will NOT be disappointed..... The vampire is so mortal acting and even if you aren't into vampire stories, you'll fall in love with Matt. Check it out!! |
