Logocentric (adj).Regarding words and language as a fundamental expression of an external reality (especially applied as a negative term to traditional Western thought by postmodernist critics).
Sometimes I just write whatever I feel like. Other times I respond to prompts, many taken from the following places:
I enjoy hiking, but I would need to get in better shape to do any rough terrain hiking. Now, it's cold outside, there's snow, and it's just not a good time to go out and start hiking, so, as I mentioned before, I'll stick to hiking inside. I'm going to hike to the kitchen and get some Doritos.
There was a sign in a gym I used to go to, "Willpower gets you started, habit keeps you going."
I used to go, but it was like this, "I'd have to drive thirty minutes to get to the gym, I guess I'll just exercise at home by walking to the cupboard and opening a bag of Doritos."
Underachieving while simultaneously indicating a clear capacity to have fully achieved something is one of my specialties, tj ~ endeavors to persevere! ... probably why Andre and I get along so well!
Just think, if Andre had made a RumChata Strawberry Banana Cream Pie cocktail instead, the quota would have been met. But, then missing one word was kind of the point...
@Gaby ~ Keeper Of The Realm - The Lion King II. I was successfully able to avoid all the direct-to-video sequels of popular Disney animated movies until I had children. Now they seem determined to have me sit with them through the entire Disney back catalog.
@๐ HuntersMoon - The Jack Reacher movies starring Tom Cruise are okay but not great. I think it might have something to do with a character described as, "6 foot 5 inches, 210-250 pounds, a 50-inch chest, six-pack like a cobbled city street, a chest like a suit of NFL armor, biceps like basketballs, and subcutaneous fat like a Kleenex tissue" being played by an 50-year-old actor who's 5'7". Alan Ritchson feels a tad closer to the actual character description.
