Prompt: What are ten things you are thankful for? 1. Rhonda, who the Lord led me to and showed me she would be my wife. 2. Jesus, the Savior and Lord of my life. I was the exact opposite of what I want to be now. 3. Mom, who passed on 2/1/2000, because she introduced me to reading and the writing that developed from it. 4. Writing.com, the place that showed up in the nick of time; literally; as myspace turned into a Facebook clone and was no longer relevant. I just wanted to write and share, and for 8 years I've been able to do that here. 5. Life, even with all it's ups, down, and downright scary moments, it's worth the living just because He lives. 6. Pryncessa; who was an incredible author, artist, and fighter; succumbing to bone cancer only after the second onset. She is the author of a charcoal drawing of Rhonda and she did a 10th wedding anniversary acrostic for us that is still near to our hearts. She will never be forgotten. 7. Walgreen's; where I started working at in 2004; and will soon mark my 13th anniversary on 4/17/17. The job came along during a rough time of our life, not soon enough to prevent an eviction, but at least we were able to find a place after that living in Arlington, Tx where we've been since 2004. 8. Yellow Rose , whom I just learned recently that she has passed away. My heart broke because she was always the most giving, caring, and awesome writer. One of the first member's of the now defunct Copenator's Crew and always reviewing until I was unable to hand out the GPs due to an extended period without internet access. The halls of the WdC are a little paler without her here. 9. Simply Positive Group "Simply Positive Review Forum " . They were the first group to review some of my things and I always felt so thankful for that from the start. The first group I joined and to this day I still review in behalf of the SPG, missing SherriGibson every step of the way these days. 10. The Vine Fellowship, the church we have attended since before we moved to Arlington, Tx. Back then it was called Trinity New Life Fellowship and it has been home in so many ways. Title Prompt: It's a nutty day! Use this title for a poem, story, or whatever. In the thick of things, Two days removed from an endoscopy. Sure it's quite nutty indeed. All that's missing is a bunch of bananas. Now here's the thing about nutty days. Unique and real is each and every one of them. The circumstances that occur in that day, Therefore creates the nutty part of the equation. You see the world is going to throw things at you. Don't think it's not the case, even if you feel like you're in control. Any moment in the day you'll see the truth as you reel under the unexpected. Yet depending on how you react to the situation, will determine how far the nutty part of the day pushes you over the edge. It's a nutty day! Do you turn and run into the bushes, or do you face the craziness head on and take it to the cleaners. |
Beloved: Some of you know that I've taken up running in 2015, after being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Running for the Lord, my health, Rhonda, and 3 charity events I walk/run in throughout the year. Here is the latest entry on Facebook for Day 5 of the 7 day run week I start from Tuesday to Monday. Tuesday is never counted toward the goal, nor timed, as it is a thank offering unto the Lord for the gift of running. #Stevejogging Day 5 Milestone! Milestone! Milestone! The day has finally arrived and all praise goes to the Lord for leading me here with an opportunity to run one more time before the procedure1 on Monday. So here goes. 4420 yards in 44:22 which is 2.511 miles!!!!!!! Adding previous days totals of 3692 yards in 36:42. = 8112 yards in 1:21:04 seconds! So thankful, so amazed, and so ready for the next goal of 3 miles to come in the Lord's timing. Amen and amen. Copenator out! Footnotes |
