Sounds like what the washing machine is known for.

Not only does one part of each pair of my favorite socks disappear, so does some underwear.

Apparently it has a ferocious appetite, or the remnants lay at the bottom of the ocean or is strewn upon a distant shore.

Maybe the natives wonder what these strange things are.

Ha! Been there and am currently in the getting up in the middle of the night stage. In spite of the tiredness, and the stress that pups can bring, you brought a lot of humor to this piece.

If I may say so myself, the little hound is quite unique.

I imagine a football shaped penguin with arms and legs sticking out...with webbed feet.

Who let the dog out?

A cigar is in order, we have 3 puppies.

So?

It is freezing out there >>>>

So, the mother is in her box with her pups, in front of the stove (anthracite)

And who is the 'Go To man?'

Me ... at 1.30am, he lets the dog out ... that is what he does.

And then ... he writes about it - elementary!

OK, I'll be off to bed as soon as I have had my 'drink'.{Soft drink; Doctor's order}
