Day to day stuff....a memoir without order.
A special sig made for me by Mystic and gifted to me by Kat.

Imagination is described by Webster as...The act or power of forming a mental image of something not present to the senses in reality. Albert Einstein said "Logic will get you from A to B, but imagination will take you everywhere." *Idea*

I never realized it until I read it somewhere but there are ways to boost one's imagination:

Create a visual journal
Draw whatever you see for 15 minutes a day. You don't need to be an artist.

Think like an artist
Cut out pictures from magazines & piece them together to create an original image.

Listen to Bach
Close your eyes while playing your favorite music. Or listen to the sounds of nature on a CD or in the great outdoors.

Play word games
Try thinking of as many words as you can that begin with MAR...or you pick.

Daydream
Let your mind wander, or focus on a single object & study its characteristics.

Merry Christmas, everyone! It's very cold here this morning, 25F and the birds' water is frozen...again. Two squirrels are scavenging one of the feeders but I say have at it. It's cold and they are welcome to it.

My daughter will be here around noon and we plan to eat out this year...Chinese, a first. Will report later how it goes. In the meantime, hope everyone has an especially nice holiday. I can't help thinking though about all the homeless and people without power today. May they find help and warmth. God Bless.

Everything on my previous post's list has been accomplished. This coming weekend I am invited to my Jax daughter's home for a work-related dinner celebration, an overnight stay and a little Saturday shopping.

Currently, I'm working on a chihuahua watercolor which is giving me a fit. The photo shows a sort of champagne (pinkish) tan color which I am having trouble getting right, not usual for me, but I think I am getting stressed out about it and just need to back off for a while.

Most of my Christmas shopping is done and now I need to consider what to wear for my weekend jaunt. Thinking about some shopping this afternoon but oh how I hate shopping for myself!

The house across the street from me is getting a new roof, such nice weather for it, 60s and 70s, but this weekend is supposed to turn cold, 30s maybe, so what to wear?

We will be having our local writing group's (https://writersalliance.org/) Holiday Celebration on December 11th. It will be an adventure in author readings (no, not me, I'm too shy) held at a local sound stage with food and drinks nearby. I've never been at the place so I intend to check it out this Thursday when there will be a local farmers' market nearby. I do this because at my age it seems every unknown causes a certain amount of stress and this is my way to avoid it.

I painted a watercolor of a tuxedo cat and took a photo of the happy girt holding it (https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVqNiiWGwtS7Fl8RnyhN9...).

Planning to put up my Christmas tree tomorrow and mail some Christmas cards. Watched a good show on Netflix last night (Inside Man) and now reading another Mary Stone series, not quite as good as the Winter and Autumn ones but...okay.
