A sci-fi/military/political thriller in which Earth is threatened by a massive asteroid.
Several centuries into the future, Earth is a peace, and humanity is seemingly in the midst of a golden age. Human colonies are on both the Moon and Mars, and terraforming efforts have brought oxygen and water to the former. The nations of the world cooperate on an unprecedented level on matters of global security, the environment, and genetic modification. These efforts are spearheaded by the United Nations, which has grown more and more powerful in the passing centuries. Together, the world has eliminated diseases, poverty, and suffering. Utopia has nearly been acheived, and nobody is looking forwards to it more than Daniel Cooper, leader of the world's most powerful nation, the United States. His success as a candidate from the center-left United America Party have inspired a new era in American, and global politics.

At the turn of the century, everything goes wrong. A meteor breaks through the atmosphere and explodes above London, flattening the city and incinerating anything that isn't killed by the blast. The world falls into a state of shock as humanitarian efforts begin to rebuild the UK, and cracks begin to appear in the thin peace that has held on for so long. As more and more meteors strike Earth, and as the death toll climbs ever higher and higher, humanity realises that these smalls rocks are part of an asteroid larger than any previously discovered; nearly 40 kilometers across. Large enough to destroy Earth and leave in uninhabitable for millions of years.

Political divides begin to show as nations bicker and argue about what to do, how to save themselves. But as the killer asteroid grows steadily closer, and nations begin to gear up for war against each other, it is up to a brave coalition of nations and people, called the "Global Security Coalition" to find a way to prevent the unthinkable; the extinction of all life on Earth.
