A character study of Anael - the main character in The Guardian
Angels did not all have blond hair and blue eyes; that was a fallacy perpetuated throughout history and Anael was a little sick of the whole thing.

Above him, yellow-haired, stained-glass angels tinted the morning sunlight spilling into the chapel. He squinted up at the colourful scene filled with glowing, robe-shrouded figures then looked down at his charcoal sweater, dark jeans and worn leather boots.

He’d never worn a robe in his life.
