I was looking at random you tube videos and saw a working soda machine, then there were links to smaller and smaller versions. Based off the smallest one I could find I came up with a design for a condom machine. How it works is a 1x1 tile fits into a brick that has a hole running through it, you then use a hammer to push through the hole to disconnect the tile and it falls out the bottom. The machine has two condoms in it each with their own hammer. I made the machine swing out from the wall so you can replenish it without having to remove anything. There is a small problem with the side tiles not meeting up but its hard to judge from the computer model what that actually means.

Its rather cunning that the single tile works well as a condom due to the single raised stud.

Compared to a lego person it is rather big, but then again a door is twice the size of a person so scale is always a bit weird.

I have created a flickr account for some slightly higher resolution photos:

The limit of 400x400 images on here makes some of the wider shots a bit hard to see. This gives me a chance to include shots of a complete floor (if I actually complete one) and of the entire building without people having to squint at a tiny image or zoom in to a pixelated one.

I've settled on a club for the first floor (second if you are American) of the building. It's going to consist of a grand piano, a drum kit, a bar, a pole dancing stage, a cage in a bay window and some tables and chairs, plus maybe a few more details.

As I've already show the cage, here are some shots of the bar area and instruments:

Originally I copied a grand piano I found on youtube that was very clever, unfortunatly it was just too big to fit. I then found a smaller version but it was missing aspects like the open top and the pedals (not that you can see the pedals but they are upside down grey hammers - that idea came from the large piano).

Drum kit was pretty much original, quick image search on google for general shape.

I'm pretty impressed with the wine rack, thats a completely original design (as is all of the bar). Slightly awkward to get it all positioned as the program doesn't let you place pieces on top of others if they don't actually connect. So I had to use extra pieces to get the wine bottle in place which I then deleted after.

I'm not sure about the beer taps. In the above image I've gone with ones with advertising tabs on the back. The alternative design is to have a handle on top. It isn't possible to combine both with it being such a small detail. Here are the two designs in close up, both front and back.

I've actually ordered the pieces for the drums and piano from a random seller in Spain, through the brick link system. I've also got some parts from an American seller, who I kind of accidently ordered from when I was trying to find out what the postage would be. The brick link system is interesting, there is a shared catalog which all the sellers use so you can search all shops for a piece or you can go into one and see what they are selling. You can also put a watch on items that you need. I'm having difficulty finding a easy wa to see whichs shops ship to the UK as there are only a few that are actually UK based.

I got an e-mail through from lego with how much credit I earnt over christmas which means I have some money to spend on pieces if needed. I've also found that buying the pieces from random sellers is cheaper than going through lego.co.uk and you can get a much wider range of pieces. The e-mail also confirmed that orders for the design by me system will stop on the 16th January but based on the prices I doubt I would go down that route anyway.

I've been working on the basement which includes the stairs up to the front door and a slopped back door. Ground floor is also progressing, I have sliding curtains to split the shop from the stairs up to the first floor and down to the S&M basement. I also created something that says SEX in red letters, its a bit too big for a sign so don't really know what to do with it. Will upload pictures at some point as I'm quite happ how it turned out.

Today I thought I would work on a cage in a bay window in it for the first floor. This is going to be a kind of live sex show floor or maybe something a little burlesque, not really sure. I've gone with a full circular(ish) cage in the bay window rather than a semi-circle using the window as the back of the cage. Might have to play around to see if I'm happy with the decision. I also need to play around a bit more with the detail beneath the window.

In the picture is the street view on the left and the view from inside the room on the right. As I said its a work in progress but it's fun to play around with.

So I found a way to turn on all pieces in the designer. It allows everything to be every colour which does mean you can choose colours that aren't available. It also means getting hold of some of the pieces is going to be ver hard as you can't buy them directly from Lego.

The bad news is that the designer system is being discontinued on the 16th January apparently.. I didn't notice anything on the website when downloading it which if it is being discontinued is a bit rubbish. Also after getting the sex machine sorted out it crashed and I had to start again.

One of the features is a hinge allignment which is meant to automatically align things, unfortunatly it doesn't seem to work on pistons. So it was incredibly fidly lining everything up. Then having it crash was really annoying. Although I think the second time I made it a bit better.

I think this also means that the basement has to be 6 bricks high, I'd worked out the minimum based on the height of a lego guy so going up to 6 isn't too bad. I'm thinking if I have the pavement (sidewalk) raised by 2 bricks then that means I only need 4 steps from the sidewalk to the ground floor (or first floor for you crazy americans who don't understand how to number floors).

So here is the result of today's play session:

A lego sex machine

On one side you have the pistons, on the other side you have the handle and cogs to drive the pistons. It is bigger than I had hoped. I could use shorter axels, but then the preportions would be off. I could rearrange the wheels and have one long axel and one shorter one but that may look a bit weird. I might give that a go but it means one rod moving differentl to the other.

So as I said in my previous post I've been playing with LEGO Digital Designer. It's a very awkward tool to use but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. The number of parts are rather limitted, I couldn't find the standard base plates that the modular buildings use. So I started with some people. Here is what I've produced so far:

My collection of lego people for my lego project (contains nudity - kinda)

I'll start from the right. The first item was a simple attempt at an anal plug. An item which will be for sale in the sex shop.

Then we have a woman, lego women have a tendancy to be flat cheasted. After some searching on the internet I found a couple of suggestions for adding breasts, including a method that involves cutting and glueing. The one I chose is actually a reduced version of one from you tube, the original had much bigger breasts but they seemed a bit ridiculous. The choice of people parts is rather slim, there is only one femal head, hair comes in black or brown and the bodies are just a strange choice but for a prototye I went with a kind of fake tan colour.

The second woman is a dominatrix, with the madonna style pointy breasts, the grey suit actually works for her and oddly the program does know about whips despite missing so many standard items. I figure each sex shop needs to have an S&M dungeon.

The third is a man, with a cock. It has a bit of a severe bend in it. He also can't move his legs which is a bit of a pain. There are pieces you can get that would produce balls but they aren't listed, I would also have preferred to go with all yellow (ie naked) but the cock piece is only available in light or dark grey (despite there being other colours in sets.

Then we have the start of a sex machine, this is when I found major problems with pieces, a lot of technic stuff is missing. Apart from some very small cogs, there are nothing, and the technic thin beams are also missing so I can't design the rest of it. But I feel it would be great if the dungeon had a working hand operated sex machine.

Finally we have some chains hanging from a wall. The program has some interesting flex tool, so far I've only found it working for chains and a flexible axel. However, it took me about half an hour to get it to hook over the verticle pole. Doing it by hand it is simple but having to line everything up is painful. Also I can't find a way to group the items together, the "group" command does nothing, so I have to be careful not to accidently break it all. So it doesn't look that complex but I figured after all the time spent it needed to be included in the picture.

So that's the start, not a huge amount of progress but better than nothing. Once I get to the building things should be quicker, furniture is where things are going to be slow.

So each year me and the wife buy each other lego which we build over new years. For the past few I have bought her items from the range of modular buildings. They are a set of town house style buildings for adults, they contain some rather complex building procedures and are slightly more fiddly to play with. They include, town house flats, a shopping emporium, a hotel, a fire brigade and a few others.

So obviously for this year she will be expecting one of the others in the range. Hating to be predictable I'm thinking of something slightly different. The items are heavily influenced by home made designs so I was wondering if I could design one myself. Obviously being me, I figured what any sensible town house needs is a sex shop. (tastfully done obviously).

Who knows how it will work out, I've got 12 months to design it, source the bricks, build it, create an instruction book. I've downloaded a program from lego to help design it but I'm not sure how it will work out. I've created some people and started messing around which I will explain in my next post and include the picture of them and a couple of other items.
