Silent, but Deadly

My best friend, Pam passed away in October of last year. Her death was quite unexpected yet the memories I have help keep her alive. She was a very unique person and she had a weird sense of humor just like I do.

I know some people may think it is distasteful to talk about bodily functions but everyone does it. Pam could eat certain foods and with one good fart make your eyes water and people in its path would begin to gag. I compare her farts to a thief in the night. They were silent, they would sneak up on you and they would literally take your breath away.

Many years ago, Pam wanted to take me shopping for my birthday. Along with my two kids, Pam and I headed to Wal Mart.

We were in the Shoe Department when Pam told me she had to go to the bathroom. As she walked away an awful stench reached my nose. I laughed and knew Pam had dropped another bomb.

A few seconds later, two men came walking by completely unaware of what they were walking into. All at once I heard one of them exclaim "Damnnnnnnnnnnnnn!". It was then I knew Pam's stench had claimed two more victims, they looked at me and I said "It wasn't me, it was her" pointing at Pam.

After they walked away I couldn't help but laugh, the looks on their faces were priceless. Just imagine walking along carefree and blindly walk into a shitstorm.

Even though this happened years ago, this moment in time still makes me laugh.
