'Me' is a topic I am fairly knowledgeable about. After all, I've been classically trained in the study for 21 years. But, as with all studies, consolidation is an integral part of the process. This is something I have not really done before. So, welcome to my blog, where I will be consolidating my knowledge on the topic of 'me' for you all to see.
The idea of this blog came from making my 2016 New Year resolutions. Every year I make a long list of them and very few I actually keep. This is because I have no external incentive. Sure, I can motivate myself to a certain extent, but nothing makes you work hard like the prospect of being publicly shamed. You are my public and this blog is my shaming.
As with all of the best laid plans, this has the potential to go askew. I intend to post regularly, but if I don't I want you to pester me until I post again!
Well the special secret FSFS project is what you said it was. Don't worry though, it has since been made public in the FSFS Newsletter so you haven't ruined the surprise!
I've never read any historical fiction, so I haven't read Nigel Tranter. I just think I should try and read out of just fantasy and sci-fi all the time. I might give him a look.
Regarding Reading: 5. Read at least one historical fiction novel: I wonder if you've read any of Nigel Tranter's books. I think much of his work is about Scotland, perhaps it is just what I've come across, but I really enjoy his work. I would recommend Nigel to you if you can get hold of any.
Regarding Writing.com: 2. Complete (or get a good way towards completing) the special FSFS project (currently a secret to WdC)and/or 4. Start a new regular FSFS-only activity. Might these not fit very well with an FSFS Anthology? I think all three writing goals might fit into that as well.
I think many of your stated goals EASILY fit into the marvelous idea of an FSFS Anthology. What else? Am I saying that you could learn to draw and then draw the cover? I'm not NOT saying that.
Be more assertive... ...Matt, I think you SHOULD do an FSFS Anthology... Oh wait. It's supposed to be you being assertive. Sorry.
