Gabrielle, I've got to say that you're probably the most logical and "common sense" lawyer I've ever heard of! I enjoyed this post, not only because it is logical and thought-provoking, but whether someone agrees with it or not, it is an interesting way to possibly avoid many ugly divorces in the process! It certainly would make people reexamine their lives more than they normally do.
I must say, to hear a lawyer say they have "issues" with the system is refreshing! I have attorneys in my own family, but I never hear complaints or frustrations about the way it works. The expiration date theory works for me, and could probably be just as efficient with other licenses we are forced to have.
I take many issues with "the laws" of our states because they make no sense. I know how annoyed I get with them in my business, I can only imagine how you must feel some days. As an owner-operator in the trucking business, I'd like to see people have to retest to renew their driver's licenses, and I think people who drive RV's should have a similar licence to my CDL, after all some of their vehicles are larger than mine!
But you're quite correct, many licenses should have an expiration date on them. Nothing should ever be considered...forever.
Somehow this makes sense that focusing on a budget crisis would cause them to spend an extra $250,000. Politics and me are not friends either. I try not to touch it with a ten-foot pole pretty much.
I love this whole work down on the movie moment kiss. It does have to be your first and the whole fly by looking up, looking down, looking up totally happens.
Anything you add to this I get updates. 'Dignified indifference' and they are moderately masculine looking. Without the beautiful curves of like the Venus De Milo or something like that.
You need to take a picture of this hot Justice statue. Stat!
I also like how it's like did the other people get distracted by this hot Justice too?
