Daily rants and raves to get me going or to calm me down.
Artists need a way to release themselves; to get going; to get the juices flowing. That's what I want this collection of journal entries to be: a place where I can say what I want without fear of retribution. I don't always feel like I have enough time to say what I want to say. I'll just have to try and be persistent and consistent.

Peppermint has a high menthol content. The oil also contains methone and carboxylic ether. Peppermint is the oldest and most popular of the mint flavored confections and is often used in teas and for flavoring ice cream, chewing gum, and toothpaste. Peppermint can also be found in some shampoos, soaps, and skin care products. Menthol activates receptors in the skin and mucus tissues and is the primary source of the cooling sensation that follows the topical application of peppermint oil. Peppermint flowers are large nectar producers, and honey bees, as well as other nectar harvesting organisms forage them heavily. A mild pleasant varietal honey can be produced if there is a sufficient area of plants. Peppermint oil has a high concentration of pesticides. Peppermint oil is good for irritable bowel syndrome. It has a cooling action. Peppermint oil has been used for muscle pain, nerve pain, and relief from itching. High doses of peppermint oil can cause mucous irritation and mimic episodes of heartburn.

Good afternoon from mild Middle Tennessee...this has been an unseasonably warm winter. I am currently reading AND THEN THERE WERE NONE by Agatha Christie. I have read it several times before, but I always find something new and surprising. That's what I preach to my students...you always discover some new gem each time you read a text. We ate an early supper today. Just leftovers, nothing fancy. I may wash my hair and read for the rest of the day. It's one of those kind of lazy Sundays. It's a good relaxing feeling, though. I need to go brush my teeth, too. Enough about hygiene issues. It has been a productive weekend overall. Yesterday, we did our taxes. I'm glad that we got that over with. I need to do some research on my next topic, I'm still writing an informational text on Australian Cuisine. I like to write my texts by hand. I write them on legal pads then transfer them to Google Docs. After they are finished, I download to PDF then upload to my store. I mainly write non-fiction. I do write some fan fiction. I'm an organizer at heart. I like to write for about thirty minutes at a time. Then I take my break and go at it again. I have multiple writing projects going on at once. I tend to get bored with the same old topics. I create all of my own covers also.

*Dog1* Good Morning from Middle Tennessee! It is 59 degrees with slightly overcast skies. Today, I want to write about taxes. The word "tax" comes from the Latin word "taxo." Its root is the same as the word "taxatio," which means a rating or value or appraisal. Hmmm...makes sense. Taxes are monetary charges that governments impose on individuals. The concept of taxing income is a fairly modern innovation and presupposes many things: a money economy, reasonably accurate accounts, a common understanding of receipts, expenses, and profits, and an orderly society with reliable records. For most of the history civilizations, these preconditions did not exist, and taxes were based on other factors. Taxes on wealth, social position, and ownership of the means of production (typically land and slaves) were all common. Practices such as tithing, or an offering of first fruits, existed from ancient times, and can be regarded as the precursor to taxes. They lacked precision.

*Owl1*Good evening from quite chilly Middle Tennessee. I changed my handle to "Reinventing Myself" because that's what I've been doing my entire life. I'm also a chronic organizer, meaning that I like to organize my life into little compartments and boxes where everything fits nicely. I'm like this because I grew up as an Army Brat. You know, no home but everywhere was home. I appreciate my lifestyle now, but I sure didn't when I was living it. My dream was to have a regular home in a regular neighborhood in a regular town. I should have appreciated it more.
*Books1*I'm a reader. I always have been. I used to hide behind my books. I used to hide in my books. I pretended to be somebody else. I wanted to be the kids in the books because they seemed so normal. I never felt normal. I'm not 100% sure that I feel normal now. But what is normal anyway? I like to pretend that I'm normal sometimes. But other times, I'm happy and quite proud that I'm not normal. I'm not abnormal in some weird way that no one likes. I have a job and a family and friends. People think that i have a distinct personality, but no one would say that I'm weird. At least I don't think so.
*Pencil*I love to write. Really, it's what I do. That and reading. I like to write random shit that seems to have no purpose. I can't ever maintain a story as I get bored with it. I'm that way with many things. Possibly a side effect of my upbringing. That nomad wandering childhood? Let's hope so...or not.If I can find the time, I'd like to write something each night. I don't know. My husband gets upset when I sit at the computer. He'd rather that I come up and watch television with him. But that gets so boring. I can't just sit and watch television.

I like the bigger letters. They seem more friendly and fun for me and everyone else. Okay, I'll have to set everything to the same size. I'll get the hang of it pretty soon. If I keep it up. I've started on here many times but always found excuses to stop writing. Well, not stop writing but to stop writing on here. I don't really want feedback as much as I just want a place to write where someone might see it. I need someplace safe to write without judgement. That goes against some of the reason for this site, I know. I want to write a book...what kind? I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking poetry. I've got a gazillion of ideas in my brain. I just need to get them down. How many of you write your stories out first on a legal pad? I do. Well, not my blogs. Perhaps I should then it wouldn't just seem like ramblings of a crazy woman. I did say that I wasn't exactly
