Can the Angel of Hope reconcile Malakhim and Nephelim in time before the Final Judgement? |
This is the first novel I've ever written, started in September 2014 - two months after the birth of my son. It has undergone numerous overhauls and major edits, and was completed in late 2016. Of course, I launched into a major character inquisition right away, but plot-wise the book is pretty much done. I warmly welcome anyone with the endurance to stomach my natural verbosity to tackle these chapters. If you like a touch of the supernatural, and is a fan of Frank Peretti's 'This Present Darkness' and 'Piercing the Darkness', you may like the chapters about the angels (Malakhim) and their fallen brethren (Nephelim).
If you like post-apocalyptic stories like 'The Road', or movies like 'Mad Max' and 'Children of Men', but with 'Terminator' thrown in, you'll probably enjoy the Sura chapters.
If you're a fan of hard science-fiction, or like reading about post-scarcity economies and near-future societies, any of the chapters set in Eden is worth your time. I did the equivalent of at least a Master's degree worth of research into the technology, comparing theoretical economic and political systems, to create the city of Eden. These couple of chapters take place in Eden -
What I am most concerned about are: i) how reader-friendly my language is; (it took 10 major rounds of edits before my ex-journalist sister gave me the thumbs-up for readability. I'm sure some parts still need work.) ii) what is the engaging element in each chapter? A character? The portrayal of the world or mood? The plot? Or is the chapter missing something? Any other advice more experienced readers and writers than I can give is valued and appreciated. |
