Instagram, YouTube? I dunno. I want to write some stories placed in Thailand... maybe a screen play... complete with music in Thai/Lao. I've even sang some to myself (melody/images rather than words). My voice left me long ago but that shouldn't stop me from singing.

I wish... I was looking forward to my high-school reunion... but covid. I no longer live close to where I grew up. None of them live here. I have to rely on new connections.

I didn't connect well as a child. Never quite felt at ease in my skin and I wasn't taught how to get along.

So I've spent a lifetime working on connections. Sometimes it worked! No need to mention the other times.

I continue stumbling on my journey.

I can imagine it would be overwhelming for the senses. I live in quiet and will need to adjust next time I travel. I mostly live in silence and that's not in my forecast.

Yes, I remember jarts. We were careful. I didn't play marbles. I came to dislike Monopoly. Later I learned to dislike Risk.

I prefered card games. I played to win. Of course, I lost as well.

I'd be pissed and demanding to be paid for answering the phone! I worked 11 pm - 7 am. I did NOT works days. I did NOT work evenings. I slept 8-4 and told friends not to call me unless the house was burning down. I literally could not work if I didn't have enough sleep.

Some at that time thought we should have rotating shifts. The night crew adamantly said NO. My opinion? Rotation is an abuse and so are many schedules for police and hospitals. I've worked both. You want a doc or a cop who's worked 16 hours straight to look after you?

Dispense with the snarkiness

Somebody told me today that I was a rock star! I managed to correct a simple problem, but this person went out of her way to make me feel extraordinary. Which made me label her something greater than a rock star, she is a queen among people. She in her simple way goes about life lifting up others. She seeks no gain, refuses to clamor about politics, feels hesitant in the spotlight, but completes her tasks with a smile and kind words. She made me feel great but I became enamored of the words she spoke to everyone she encountered. Always they were kind and uplifting. She had a way of turning the lemon-faced complainer into a smiling participant in a glorious day. It is easy to overlook these type of people, but they are the reason we are at times reassured by the goodness that happens in our world. They don't asked to be rewarded for the deeds that they do, but desire an opportunity to lighten the burden of others. I strive to do the same in this universe and call upon my inner goodness to make others feel a bit better. I want to find the same inner peace that this woman has achieved. Some way i need to dispense of my snarkiness with life first, but maybe I can be taught by the likes of her.
