Well, it was quite a week in the Premier League. Manchester United was the main topic of discussion among media and fans. After United lost 3-2 to Brighton on Sunday, (Aug. 19), football insiders were quick to criticize the team. Former Liverpool player, Danny Murphy, predicted that Man. U's manager, Jose Mourinho, is not going to last the rest of the season. (read Aug 20 article - "Man. U's Manager's Job Is On The Line"). As the week went on, there was more mud slinging about the team and the players. The latest, the fans plan to fly a banner at this week's game against Burnley, showing their dismay over Ed Woodward and the team's ownership. Now to more positive news. Well, to me that is. My team Chelsea is 2-0 after defeating Arsenal 3-2 on Saturday (Aug 18). I have to say, though, Chelsea was lucky to win the match. The team allowed Arsenal to bounce back from a 2-0 deficit. Chelsea plays Newcastle United this week. Manchester City are on a roll. City hammered newly promoted Huddersfield Town 6-1. Huddersfield are now 0-2 and is dead last in the Premier Division. Good news for France's PSG. Despite not being in the starting line up, Kylian Mbappe scored his first two goals of the new season off the bench against Guingamp. Finally this week, Germany's Bundesliga opens there season this weekend. |

This past weekend, the team won the F.A. Cup, defeating Watford 6-0 in the final.
There is some bad news for Man. City fans this week.
City's longtime captain, Vincent Kompany, announced he's parting ways with the team this summer.
Kompany has been with Manchester City for 11 seasons and has won 10 trophies with the club.
Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga title on the weekend.

Yes. The EPL. ended their season on Sunday, (May 12).

Neymar has been suspended three games for hitting a Rennais fan at the Coupe De France final.
Barcelona has announced that Luis Suarez is out for four to six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

PSG and Nice played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, (May 4).
Nothing seems to be going right for Dortmund of the Bundesliga league.
Dortmund had a chance to get three big points on the weekend after going ahead 2-0 against Bremen.
Unfortunately for Dortmund, Bremen scored two goals and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The big news this week was Rennais defeating PSG 3-2 on penalty kicks in the Coupe De France final last Saturday, (April 27).
Neymar scored two goals for PSG.
Unfortunately, Neymar also punched a fan in the face after the match.
Also, PSG's Kylian Mbeppe was red carded near the end of regulation and didn't participate in the penalty kicks.
