I need to be reminded of this "This story is all about life. It teaches us that We must GIVE before We can RECEIVE Abundantly." when I write a poem for/about someone. My meagre words may have meanings even I don't recognise.

Recently, Rosemary thanked me for a poem I wrote for her years ago. And then within 24 hours I received a review for it here (after years of few views and no reviews).

Me and my beloved Broom

Me and my beloved Broom .... Short n long of it....
1st month of lockdown was our honeymoon phase.... we enjoyed each other's company, swung together, travelled to previously unexplored corners of the house, and basically had time for each other.
2nd month of lockdown was the phase of adjustments.... we were both so busy that we spent little but quality time together and felt guilty when not together....
3rd month of lockdown was the time when boredom slowly began to creep into our relationship... broom felt i was not giving it enough time, that i ignored it for days together, and even began to suspect if there was a new mop in my life.... but the unattended cobwebs and dust spiralling around backed my loyalty..

4th month of lockdown, there is no doubt but the likelihood of an impending separation.... both of us cannot see eye to eye, there is no possibility of pushing things, dust included, under the carpet any more.... its time to go our separate ways... broom sulking in the corner.. me nonchalantly watching TV..what's the pont?!.. so we both decided to start life on a clean page... We found our solution.
August 1st, enter Lata tai....
our Mary Poppins...
So life will soon be all about....
A broom swung with vigour
Will make the dust go down..... the dust go down....

Until then... i have calmly accepted.......
We go from Dust... To Dust..... so let the spiralling dust lie....
