Instead of mundane and boring 2019 wishes, I wd like to quote the great Mandela"s wise thought for all of us - 👇
When Nelson Mandela left prison after 27 years, he said "As I stand before the door to my freedom, I realize that if I do not leave my pain, anger and bitterness behind me, I will still be in prison".
Self imprisonment is worse than that imposed. How many are in self inflicted pains today for lack of forgiveness. How many of us have imprisoned ourselves inside the walls of anger and bitterness.
Holding grudges does not make you strong, it makes you bitter. Forgiveness does not make you weak, it sets you free.
Consider this while you are preparing to move into 2019

LOVE AND HAPPINESS ARE HERE

Q: It’s as if certain beings, certain things – beauty, for example, or things that comfort us, soothe us – have the power to make us forget ourselves, and stop being an obstacle to love, which is this space behind everything else. Is that why we spend our whole lives searching for things, lovers, works of art, landscapes? Are we in fact searching for this space?

Yolande: As long as love has not found itself, yes. In the past, I thought I could find this love with a man, or with my son. I always believed in all of that – until this ‘thing’ seized me. Then I completely abandoned myself to it, and it allowed me to see life in such a beautiful, light way that I fell in love with it.

I devoted the first few years to observing this ‘thing’ and it has totally transformed me. It is as if I was living something very passionate with this ‘thing’. Before, I believed that well-being, happiness and love existed outside of me; and suddenly I discovered that love was not outside, that it did not depend on anything; it depended on no object, on no state. Love and happiness were here, within. There was no longer any need to search for them without.

This well-being, this ‘thing’ that makes you feel so alive, loved and loving, it comes before everything. It is there.

All you Lipitor users rejoice!

Pharma companies extracted USD 2 trillion from consumers in the name of cholesterol level treatment.

What a shame on medical research fraud and authorities. Their incompetency costed USD 2 trillion to people those who were fit and healthy.

*Cholesterol* is finally officially removed from Naughty List. The US government has finally accepted that *cholesterol* is not a _nutrient of concern_. *doing a U-turn* on their warnings to us to stay away from high-cholesterol foods since the 1970s to avoid heart disease and clogged arteries.

This means eggs, butter, full-fat dairy products, nuts, coconut oil and meat have now been classified as *safe* and have been officially removed from the _nutrients of concern_ list.

The US Department of Agriculture, which is responsible for updating the guidelines every five years, stated in its findings for 2015: "Previously, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommended that cholesterol intake be limited to no more than 300 mg/day.

"The 2015 DGAC will not bring forward this recommendation because available evidence shows no appreciable relationship between consumption of dietary cholesterol and serum (blood) cholesterol, consistent with the AHA/ACC (American Heart Association / American College of Cardiology)

The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee will, in response, no longer warn people against eating high-cholesterol foods and will instead focus on sugar as the main substance of dietary concern.

US cardiologist Dr Steven Nissen said: _It's the right decision_. _We got the dietary guidelines wrong. They've been wrong for decades_."

When we eat more foods rich in this compound, our bodies make less. If we deprive ourselves of foods high in cholesterol - such as eggs, butter, and liver - our body revs up.

The Real Truth about Cholesterol. The majority of the cholesterol in you is produced by your liver. Your brain is primarily made up from cholesterol. It is essential for nerve cells to function.

Cholesterol is the basis for the creation of all the steroid hormones, including estrogen, testosterone, and corticosteroids.

*High cholesterol in the body is a clear indication which shows the liver of the individual is in good health.*

Dr. George V. Mann M.D. associate director of the Framingham study for the incidence and prevalence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and its risk factors states:
_Saturated fats and cholesterol in the diet are not the cause of coronary heart disease. *That myth is the greatest deception of the century, perhaps of any century*_

*Cholesterol is the biggest medical scam of all time*
There is no such thing as *bad Cholesterol*

So you can stop trying to change your Cholesterol level. Studies prove beyond a doubt, cholesterol doesn't cause heart disease and it won't stop a heart attack.

*The majority of people that have heart attacks have normal cholesterol levels.*

OUR BODY NEEDS 950 mg OF CHOLESTEROL FOR DAILY METABOLISM AND THE LIVER IS THE MAIN Producer. ONLY 15% OF CHOLESTEROL IS BEING DONATED BY THE FOOD WE EAT.

If the fat content is less in our food we eat, our liver
Got to work more to maintain the level at 950 mg.

*If the cholesterol level is high in our body, it shows the liver is working perfect.*

Experts say that there is nothing like LDL or HDL.
…………..
….. *Cholesterol is not found to create block any where in human body*.

Please share the recent facts about CHOLESTEROL

When the ancient Chinese decided to live in peace, they made the Great Wall of China.
They thought no one could climb it due to its height.

During the first 100 years of its existence, the Chinese were invaded thrice. And every time, the hordes of enemy infantry had no need of penetrating or climbing over the Wall...
because each time they bribed the guards & came through the doors!

The Chinese built the Wall but forgot character building of the wall guards! Thus, the building of human character comes BEFORE building of anything else..

That's what our Students need today.

Like one Orientalist said: If you want to destroy the civilization of a nation there are 3 ways:

1. Destroy the family Structure & Values
2. Destroy Traditional Education.
3. Lower their Role models & References to Pseudo Heroes Of Sports / Movie Instead Of Real Heroes who have Sacrificed for the Society & Country

1. In order to destroy the family:
Undermine the role of Mother, so that she feels ashamed of being a housewife & Discouraged to Propagate Culture & Values. Joint families are broken into Nuclear families, Old aged homes are increasing !

2. To destroy Education:
You should give no importance to the Teacher, & Lower his / her place in Society so that the students despise him / her. Education Restricted to Degree / Job to Lead Materialistic Life. Disconnect Guru from Sharing Knowledge, Right Path, True Wisdom not only for Body, Current Life but Mind, Soul & Beyond Life..

3. To Lower the Role models:
You should undermine our Ancestors, Scholars, Real Heroes, doubt them until no one listens to them or follow them. Manipulate History, Create Fake Heroes with Biased Media....

For when a Conscious Mother disappears, a Dedicated Teacher / Guru disappears & there's a downfall of Role models, WHO will teach the VALUES to youngsters ?

Give a thought: Are We Invaded ?

“Pick up the bags, it’s time to go”,
The clock strikes six and tells me so.
I look in the mirror and hear it say,
Wish I stayed another day.

A mental note of Things to do,
Flush my mind and take me through.
Pending tasks, spread as hay,
Wish I stayed another day.

Banks and cards and loans and bills,
Undone signs on deeds and wills.
Fees and rents I could not pay,
Wish I stayed another day.

I call for sonny to help me pack,
He gets the shoes and brush from rack.
With silent words, he blocks my way,
Wish I stayed another day.

A visit to zoo, a splash in pool,
A surprise pick from gate of school.
“You promised me!” his tears say,
Wish I stayed another day.

The lady I love is packing my meal,
With tender hands and a heart of steel.
Where hundred pains and problems lay,
Wish I stayed another day.

I hold her near and then realise,
I didn’t even hug her once or twice.
She smiles at me with nothing to say,
Wish I stayed another day.

Unsaid words and unsung tales,
Compliments, wishes, cards and mails.
All change hands in a mystic way,
Wish I stayed another day.

Dad is mute and strong as ever,
Speak of his fears, he will never.
Hiding his tears by gazing away,
Wish I stayed another day.

His pair of specs and bottle of rum,
I promise to get, next time I come.
He smiles the way I've seen him grey,
Wish I stayed another day.

On my post in chill and ice,
Tired and spent I close my eyes.
Faces from home appear to say,
Wish you stayed another day.

Our good wishes of Xmas & New Year
also go to all those, who could not stay another day.

*When Wife speaks husband must listen, But when a Fauji wife speaks World must listen.*
It was 35th NDA get together at NDA when Mrs Sangeeta, wife of Cdr Asheet Malik , 72 year, Veteran, spoke and what a speech it was ---👇

Hello Every One

I am Sangeeta, wife of your course mate Asheet Malik. I stand here having been requested to say a few words about my journey in the Navy by none other than the prime organizer of the 35th Course golden Jubilee get-together Sartaj Sassoon. Thank you very much Sartaj for asking me to speak. And Dubby where are you? Raise your hand please. I must ask you to explain the reason for your suggesting my name to Sartaj and calling up and insisting that I must speak. Thank You Dubby nevertheless. It isn’t easy to say no to you.

Okay! How do I begin? Well, every time there is an invite for a course get together or a holiday together, Asheet is most hesitant to join. He reasons that no one would know him. He explains his reasons but I don’t understand them. He tells me that he joined directly in the fifth term as a special entry cadet and overnight his name was changed to ND Malik from AK Malik. He has to identify himself as ND every time he meets his course mates. I tell him that you are meeting them after a very long time. After fifty long years and you look nothing like the person I saw almost that many years ago. There would similarly be a significant change in appearance of your course mates too. Take it from me that if you confidently go around saying that “I am Prem Suthan! Prem Nam Hai Mera! The BCA,” most will hug you hard, the Punjabi Jhapi way, and boisterously holler “Chikney you haven’t changed a bit.”

Be that as it may, I got to see Asheet for the first time at a common friends house for the purpose of match making. I was then barely eighteen and he twenty six. My parents had met, seen and liked him. It was an occasion for him and his parents to write my ACR. I guess neither of us was interested in getting married. He moved around as if he was in attendance at a Naval Party hosted on the wooden holy stoned Quarter Deck of a ship. He barely looked at me or talked to me. He was engrossed in sipping 100 Pipers scotch and blowing smoke rings in the air, holding in his hand gold rimmed Dunhill king size cigarette . Simply put he was showing off and boasting about his escapades in foreign harbours. My mother frowned and may have wanted to review her hurriedly taken decision. Asheet seemed to be a Sharabi Kababi kind. To begin with her decision to have her daughter married to Fauji was fiercely opposed by her near and dear ones. For them Fauji get killed in air crash, tank battles or go down along with the ships. Can’t blame them, because, that is what they get to see in Bollywood films. Well I will cut my narration short by saying we got married more out of confusion and indecision than anything concrete. Perhaps both parents wanted to be done with their responsibility.

I have never till to date regretted our parents’ confusion. My journey in the Navy began from NDA at the age of 18. So did Asheet’s at 19. He spent three terms at NDA, that is one and half years. I joined him at NDA in 1975 as his wife. I too spent three terms at NDA and so I am as much ex NDA as him.

Life can not begin on a better note than being the wife of an officer in the armed forces. Navy, Army or the Air force. What can be better for a young girl to move into independent bungalow having a green lawn in front of the house and kitchen garden in the backyard? And full time house help and a Mali to grow flowers and vegetables. There was no need to bolt the doors. No worry to behave coy and modest. The icing on the cake was that I was 1500 miles away from Delhi where my mother in law lived. I had never imagined in my wildest dreams that at age 18, I shall be addressed as Madam by officers much older to me and Memsahib by the domestic helps. The beginning of my life in the Navy could not have been any better. Asheet may have stressed in his twenty one years spent in the Navy but for me it was a party all through. The beginning at NDA was a rollicking party and fifty years later as a veteran’s wife I am partying here today with same josh and spirit. Why not? I am as much ex NDA as Asheet.

I must thank the organizers and Sartaj in particular for making this great get together a reality.

I can continue to narrate, till cows come home about how much I miss the Navy and my journey through it, but would want to end by recalling an incident of goodness that is seared into my mind, body and soul. Asheet was then the senior officer 19 Mine Counter measure squadron. He in addition to being in command of INS Pondicherry had five other mine sweepers placed under his direct control. I was admitted in naval hospital INHS Asvini and was required to undergo surgery. As it happens before the surgery volunteer blood donors are needed before the surgeon goes ahead. It was unbelievable to learn that scores of sailors and officers from his squadron of ships were at the hospital ready to give blood. The blood of Navy runs into my veins. I will never forget it. That is the spirit of men in the armed forces. Later when he decided to prematurely quit the Navy, I opposed his decision. But he had to leave because he had little choice. I miss the Navy till to date. Where the hell in the world do people remember and get to meet after fifty years. Undoubtedly NDA, Navy. If I am given a wish I would ask that he re joins the Navy and I get married to him. No Shak? No Shuba?

Kulula is a low-cost South-African airline that doesn't take itself too seriously. You can check out their airplanes and explanations on the net!

Kulula airline attendants make an effort to make the in-flight "safety lecture" and announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some samples that have been heard or reported:

On a particular flight a very "senior" flight attendants were serving the customers when the pilot announced on the Public Address System, "Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants."

On landing, the stewardess said, "Please be sure to take all of your belongings.. If you're going to leave anything, please make sure it 's something we'd like to have."

"There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane."

"Thank you for flying Kulula. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride."

After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in the Karoo, a flight attendant on a flight announced, "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because after a landing like that, sure as heck everything has shifted."

From a Kulula employee: "Welcome aboard Kulula 271 to Port Elizabeth. To operate your seat belt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seat belt; and, if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised."

"In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child travelling with you,
secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are travelling with more than one small child, pick your favourite."

"Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but we'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Kulula Airlines."

"Your seat cushions can be used for flotation; and in the event of an emergency water landing, please paddle to shore and take them with our compliments."

"As you exit the plane, make sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses.."

And from the pilot during his welcome message: "Kulula Airlines is pleased to announce that we have some of the best flight attendants in the industry. Unfortunately, none of them is on this flight!"

Heard on Kulula 255 just after a very hard landing in Cape Town: The flight attendant came on the intercom and said, "That was quite a bump and I know what y'all are thinking. I'm here to tell you it wasn't the airline's fault, it wasn't the pilot's fault, it wasn't the flight attendant's fault, it was the asphalt."

Overheard on a Kulula flight into Cape Town, on a particularly windy and bumpy day: During the final approach, the Captain really had to fight it. After an extremely hard landing, the Flight Attendant said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to The Mother City. Please remain in your seats with your seat belts fastened while the Captain taxis what's left of our airplane to the gate!"

Another flight attendant's comment on a less than perfect landing: "We ask you to please remain seated as Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."
An airline pilot wrote that on this particular flight he had hammered his ship into the runway really hard. The airline had a policy which required the first officer to stand at the door while the passengers exited, smile, and give them a "Thanks for flying our airline". He said that, in light of his bad landing, he had a hard time looking the passengers in the eye, thinking that someone would have a smart comment.

Finally everyone had gotten off except for a little old lady walking with a cane. She said, "Sir, do you mind if I ask you a question?"

"Why, no Ma'am," said the pilot. "What is it?"

The little old lady said, "Did we land, or were we shot down?"

After a real crusher of a landing in Johannesburg, the attendant came on with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please remain in your seats until Captain Crash and the Crew have brought the aircraft to a screeching halt against the gate. And, once the tire smoke has cleared and the warning bells are silenced, we will open the door and you can pick your way through the wreckage to the terminal.."

Part of a flight attendant's arrival announcement: "We'd like to thank you folks for flying with us today.. And, the next time you get the insane urge to go blasting through the skies in a pressurized metal tube, we hope you'll think of Kulula Airways."

Heard on a Kulula flight: "Ladies and gentlemen, if you wish to smoke, the smoking section on this airplane is on the wing.. If you can light 'em, you can smoke 'em."

WHAT A PITY KULULA DOESN'T FLY INTERNATIONALLY - THEY COULD BE SUPPORTED ONLY FOR THEIR HUMOUR - SO TYPICALLY SOUTH AFRICAN 🛫😅🛩😂🛬🤣

In Tara we have one whose native intelligence enables her to make way wise political decisions and guide the course of history.

🍁 TARA was the daughter of Susena, and was married to Vali, the monkey king of Kishkindha. Vali was very strong and his body was stated to be hard like steel. Vali and his brother Sugriva were devoted to each other.

Everyone honestly believed that Vali had died in his fight with a demon. So Sugriva was crowned king and Tara became Sugriva‘s wife according to the local custom. But when Vali reappeared Tara transferred her loyalty to him once again. In his wrath against Sugriva, Vali took away his wife Ruma and chased Sugriva away. Having lost both kingdom and family Sugriva took refuge in Rishyamuka mountain.

Rama, who was in search of Sita, came to Rishyamuka and made friends with Sugriva, who promised to help Rama in tracing the whereabouts of Sita but wanted Rama to help him in regaining his lost kingdom from Vali. When Rama agreed Sugriva challenged Vali to a fight. Tara tried to restrain Vali and advised him to put away his anger, and desist from fighting Sugriva. She wanted her husband Vali to think calmly. She told Vali that Sugriva who had run for his safety would not have dared to challenge him for a fight, unless he had the help and protection of a strong ally. According to her intelligence reports, Sugriva’s confidence stemmed from his friendship with Rama and Lakshmana, the two princess of Ayodhya. Tara’s appeal was powerful, as it added military considerations to the usual moral approach. But it failed to make any impact, on Vali, as anger clouded his intellect. He declared that he would just teach Sugriva a lesson, and then let him go. Tara could not do anything more but she was gifted with the knowledge of mantras. She performed protective rites and sent Vali to the fight with her prayers for his victory.

A fight between Sugriva and Vali ensued. Sugriva was in distress against the powerful Vali. So Rama stood behind a tree, shot an arrow and brought Vali down to the earth. Vali lay stretched on the ground covered with blood. Life was fast ebbing out of him. On hearing that Vali had been slain by Rama, the monkeys started fleeing in terror. Tara rose to the occasion. She rebuked the monkeys and rallied them as any queen may be expected to do when the king falls. As Vali was fully aware of the qualities of his wife, he took special care during his last moments to impress upon Sugriva the necessity of consulting her on all important occasions 🍁

Tara emerges as a bold and shrewd person possessing tact and resourcefulness in abundance. She was a diplomat, an expert in statesmanship, and intelligent enough to anticipate coming events. She put an appearance of patient submission in the interest of her son Angada and won for him the compassion and sympathy of all.

“Standing on the seashore, one can watch wave after wave rise, dash against the rocks and break, merging into Infinity - nobody knows where. This world may also be likened to a vast ocean. How many myriads of beings are born and die at every moment and where they go when disappearing from our sight is beyond the grasp of human intelligence.

This constant flux in nature illustrates the fact that, in reality, birth and death do not exist. There is only One Supreme Being That manifests itself in countless forms, in numberless modes of life.

Learn to see the beauty in the laws of nature, to appreciate their impartial Justice - and the contemplation of the Creator of all things will spontaneously awaken in you.
