We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life.
There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on His Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. . . . Why is it that some Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully meditate on God's Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it; the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O Lord. . . .
― Charles Spurgeon

Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strengths.
― C. H. Spurgeon

Hope itself is like a star- not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, and only to be discovered in the night of adversity.
― Charles Haddon Spurgeon

If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.
― Charles Spurgeon

A Bible that’s falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t.
― Charles Spurgeon

Visit many good books, but live in the Bible.
― Charles Spurgeon

When your will is God's will, you will have your will.

All humans live by faith, whether they choose a particular creed or not.

For instance, considering all the food-borne illnesses in the world, going out to eat at any restaurant is an act of faith. Fueling one's car is an act of faith. Working a job is an act of faith, especially when one is paid after a service is rendered.

There is a yearning in the heart of every human to believe, that something is real and true in this world as well as any existence to follow this life. That yearning expresses itself in faith, that such goodness and truth actually exists. To steal every last vestige of hope in which to place one's faith removes every possible reason to continue living.

We cannot live without HOPE. This HOPE is expressed in the language of faith.

If God is truly God, and I believe He is, then He has the ability to give enough evidence of Himself, that the simplest mind, (which is childlike,) can trust Him, placing the full weight of their faith on Him with no effort.

I, personally, believe that God has hidden Himself in plain sight throughout the realm of physical existence in the form of a hologram.

Children and those with a childlike heart can see God without effort because they already have the heart to believe, that He exists. They are standing on that side of the hologram, revealing His literal existence.

The sophisticated mind, that has had the childlike faith in their hearts wounded into dormancy, is convinced, that God does not exist. Their perspective is on the wrong side of the hologram. God cannot be seen by unbelieving hearts.

Ergo, faith still exists for those without absolute belief in God because every human must live each day from some ultimate operating standard, which can never be proven. Take anything of scientific proof down to its last level of standard, and that last level of standard MUST be accepted by faith in the experiment, in the scientists, who have logged the experiment, in the "double-blind," that some humans have espoused as the last level of probability.

In the physical realm of Humanity, faith is the breath with which we maintain our existence.

God reveals Himself as He chooses, giving greater levels of faith as He chooses, which is the faith of a child. The adult's best teacher is the child.

"And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3, KJV)
