This was Jonathan Davis's solo debut album apart from his Band Korn. Korn has been my favorite band since 2000 and I am such a huge fan of Jonathan Davis that I actually considered naming my first born after him (I only voted against this because I don't like common names, sorry Jonathan!!). As huge of a fan as I am of his though, I didn't discover this particular album until April 2019 and I have been obsessively listening to it ever since.

Here's some background on this Album:

Partially inspired by the Ganzfield Experiment — a form of sensory deprivation used to test telepathy — Black Labyrinth reportedly finds Davis dissecting religion, consumerism, politics and societal apathy through a spiritual lens. "With all of the bullshit going, everyone is stuck on their fucking cell phones," Davis says of the album's inspirational themes. "This takes us way out of that. No matter how hard you try to fight bad things in your life, life will be what it is. It's up to you to accept that, combat it and move forward, or it's up to you to be in denial. Then it becomes a thorn in your side until you finally deal with it. This is it: Just deal with it."

He went on to create a 13 part YouTube series specifically about the songs in this album.
