Book One follows three groups of people, the prophecied "Protector of the Earth," and the agencies looking for him. As well as a farmer on a planet stuck in the middle ages who wants more out of his life than to be a farmer and then a young Prince, who is exiled from his home planet by a traitor and decides to join the military. Unbeknownst to any of them all of these events align in order for them them to take down the embodiment of greed in a Universe where power is for those who take it.
