I have a bone to pick with the world. Yes, a "me vs world" scenario will not end up on the good side for me, I understand this...but the world shouldn't be TEEing me OFF! Therefore I would not feel the need to take it on.
My fight today ( yes, I have lived long enough to be smart enough to pick my fights) is this thing I seen last week, & the week before ( Black Friday week) about the FBI telling folks to watch out for hackers on these new smart TVs everyone is buying. I would have gotten to this blog sooner, but other projects around the Shaw household have taken top priority at the moment. Back to my gripe now.
I read all over the internet, seen on TV, and even read in the paper about how the FBI was warning people about the newest line of smart TVs being easy to hack whenever you connect them to your computer to stream tv shows, or use it for "face time" phone calls. It looks like all they were wanting was a lot of face time, because they never really gave any "real" good advice about how to protect your privacy, & your TV, & your private lives inside your home, due to the cameras that apparently have been mandatorily placed on ALL sets...kinda like the 3rd brake lights in all cars & trucks nowdays. In other words, BIG BROTHER just got into millions of bedrooms...& you people allowed him to walk right in....think about THAT when you get that gift of a smart tv for Christmas from a family member or friend, & instead of installing the TV in its rightful ( IMHO) place in the living room, you decide you want to fall asleep watching TV...Go ahead... your prerogative.
They were giving little platitude helpful hints, like "Put a piece of black electricians tape over the camera", "cover the entire set with a blanket", "use a long password". THAT is the one that got me..."use a long PW?" Seriously? How long? 8 characters? 12? Define long please.
I have been doing research for years on this....and the BEST password is 26 characters long. A 12 character PW can be cracked in 2 decades...by that time, I'm sure you will have changed it several times. That is something else that I think they may have said but in a "Just sort of passing" way.
I think the whole thing is, they were telling you how to prevent against hackers, but they were also telling you how to prevent against them, because people... I don't care what anyone says... WE ARE IN the BIG BROTHER age. It is here, no matter how much we try to deny it. No matter how much those who don't believe say "You are just a conspiracy theorist"...every conspiracy has truth behind, just pull back the curtain. It is always the government who hollers "Conspiracy!" first...not us citizens.

her are a couple PW testing sites.... go to them...try them out...ummm...obviously not using one of your REAL PWs, of course...LOL:

https://www.betterbuys.com/estimating-password-cracking-times/

https://random-ize.com/how-long-to-hack-pass/

But anyways, back to an earlier comment... a 26 character PW is the best, I said earlier.... why? Because using the right number, letter, & symbol (#$%^&) combination...it would take CENTURIES for even the BEST hacker to get into your computer. And that means using a combination of upper/lower case letters, not just one or the other. He/she aint gonna live for centuries. And neither are you, so by the time your 26 character PW is broken.... we are all dead, so it wont matter then.
And the next best thing I can tell you.... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER save your PW to computer. That's just asking for trouble. Get one of those tiny (4"x4", I think it is) spiral notebooks from the school supply section of your nearest store... & keep all your PWs in it. Then keep the notebook in a hidden location that only you & your spouse ( if you're married, that is, of course) know the location of. If you have kids... DO NOT even let them know where the PWs are.
There....I believe I have done my PSA for today. I cannot control whether or not you heed my advice, its up to you... but I can put it in a realist way that's kinda of risque'....
Imagine you install your new Christmas gift in your bedroom.... & you want to make love with your significant other....Do you want the whole world watching.... possibly even your children? Your call. Around the Shaw household, we have ONE TV, and it AINT in the bedroom.
PS....I actually did use these sites... using a PW example ALMOST similar to mine... & the 11 character PW I have on OUR computer... would take almost 600 years for somebody to bust. So these sites I offered to you... they work.

What is it that makes us cry? Happiness makes us cry.
Sorrow certainly makes us shed tears....I know that one for sure.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRIbf6JqkNc

I provided this video....cause there is a major move coming up VERY SOON in my life....more on that ANOTHER time....NOT this entry

This is how I am feeling right now. And I just got finished telling a VERY CLOSE friend of mine....(whether on here or not, I shall NOT disclose)….that although I am a man in my 50s....Im crying like a little girl watching this video....LMAO...not anymore obviously, otherwise I couldn't even do this blog right now.
But change is hard, especially for me, a Taurus. We Taureans love NONchange….& we fight change tooth & hoof...Yes, I so DID just go there...to the bitter end. Oh, & BTW...yes... try to make ME change...& I really will fight you to the bitter end, yours or mine, your call...or at least until we see that the change is not going to hurt us or matter in the long run. The change I am talking about....or having to talk about, to settle my fears.... is a GOOD change, but still...over 2 decades of stability...AND NOW THIS!!!!!????

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpmAY059TTY

So....what is the purpose of crying?....I really don't think even the BEST psychologists can answer that one...much less anyone on here.....
Is crying for the loss of what we had?
Or is it the fear of the unknown? Fear of the future?

Something just dawned on me earlier this A.M. while watching the ending credits to "Leave It To Beaver". I'm sitting there, watching the ending credits, waiting on Perry Mason to come on, when it dawned on me ( this is a phrase commonly used when something obvious becomes clear to someone...in other words, they finally see the forest for the trees, I guess you could say) that all the houses Wally & the Beav walk in front of, just before they get to their own...ARE EXACTLY LIKE THE HOUSES WE BUILD TODAY! In other words, "Leave It To Beaver" was supposed to be set in "mid-century America", a short era lasting only 19 years....1945-1964. It was supposed to be the most progressive time in our nation's history. Lots of good things came out of "mid-century America", penicillin being a prime example (1948). The polio vaccine is another fine example (1947).
But now here is what really dawned on me. It is almost 70 years (close to it) post "mid-century America", & we still build houses the same way. WHY!!!????? Shouldn't we be living in homes like the Jetsons by now? Shouldn't we be driving cars now that run on anything BUT gas & oil? Shouldn't we be doing LOTS OF THINGS at least CLOSE TO what the Jetsons were doing?
WHY are we not building energy efficient homes? WHY are we NOT driving cars that do NOT pollute the environment??? WHY is all our foods CONTAMINATED with chemicals that make us ignorant & stupid & kill us with cancer? Why do we STILL HAVE some curable diseases hanging around that we should have eradicated YEARS AGO???? All these things I just listed....whose idea of PROGRESSIVISM is that? IT CERTAINLY AIN'T MINE!!!
Why are we not allowing people to CHOSE alternative forms of energy for their homes (solar, wind)?? Why are we still building house like we did....actually as far back as the 1930s...which means these houses today...nothing special about them...same style as 1935. Over 80 years of the same old, same old.
WHEN is somebody ever going to get tired of this, & step forward & say, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! WE NEED TO MOVE FORWARD!"
WHEN is somebody going to step forward & untie the hands of scientists & Drs & give them resources to eradicate a ton of PREVENTABLE diseases??
When is somebody going to step forward & say...."We DON'T need fossil fuel burning vehicles ANYMORE!!!!????" by vehicles...I DO mean planes, trains, cars, trucks, ships, 18 wheelers... the whole gamut.
When is somebody going to step forward & say "We need to build houses that can live OFF the grid!"
The way we are living now...this is not Progressive...it is Regressive. We are actually going in REVERSE.
I hope a lot of people read my thoughts today...& share some answers....BUT....I do not want any finger paointing…(the greedy Democrats did it to us)...or...(the greedy Republicans did this to us)...no, because see, really...the answer to everything I have wrote here IS greed. But I really would love to hear some opinions...but remember...NO fingerpointing!

Just some interesting sportsman's facts I ran across this AM:

Editor's Note: I must say, within all legal obligations. The statistics I found were EXACTLY THAT...FOUND! I did not compile these stats on my own. I was just doing some reading, & found these facts interesting enough that I decided to share them with those who may or may not know. Therefore, I have gave credit where credit is due by including links to the pages. I am not profiting off anything provided in this blog, nor do I have any affiliation with any of the clubs or corporations mentioned here. This is purely for others educational benefit. If you follow the links provided, you can read the full articles on their perspective webpages for yourself.

Fishing and hunting are long-standing institutions in the United States. Not only are they hobbies enjoyed by millions, fishing and hunting are important contributors to the country's massive outdoor recreation economy. Consumer spending on outdoor recreation contributes $887 billion to the U.S. economy, employs 7.6 million Americans and generates $125 billion in tax revenues. More than $63.1 billion in retail spending can be attributed to fishing and hunting, while the two industries employ nearly 483,000 Americans, with salaries and wages of more than $17.8 billion as disclosed in the Outdoor Industry Association's 2017 report The Outdoor Recreation Economy.

Fishing is the second most popular outdoor activity for American adults, trailing slightly behind running, jogging and trail running. The Outdoor Foundation's Outdoor Recreation Participation Topline Report 2017 noted 31.5 million adults 25 and older went fishing in 2016.

At the national level:

Fishing-related retail purchases exceed $35.7 billion
More than $11.8 billion is spent on fishing gear, accessories and vehicles
Over $23.9 billion is attributed to trip-related spending
287,554 American jobs are sustained by fishing, with total wages over $10 billion annually
Fishing generates more than $4.9 billion in federal, state and local taxes

And that comes from:
https://business.realtree.com/business-blog/fishing-and-hunting-contribute-billi...

Next is this, from:
https://www.brookings.edu/blog/brookings-now/2014/09/10/the-u-s-fishing-industry...

On September 10, The Hamilton Project released new papers and hosted a forum to explore opportunities for improving the economic prosperity and long-term sustainability of the U.S. fishing industry. Taken together, commercial and recreational fishing contributed nearly $90 billion to the U.S. economy in 2012, according to Hamilton Project data, including over 1.5 million jobs for American workers.

And finally, BASSMaster has this to say about this topic I am blogging on this AM:
https://www.bassmaster.com/news/anglers-spend-16-billion-year-fishing

It may not surprise you that 98 percent of bass anglers made some kind of fishing-related purchase in the past year. In fact, you may be wondering how the 2 percent made it an entire year without buying anything!
This finding is one of many in The Southwick Bass Fishing Report, an annual publication that helps businesses, such as manufacturers, retailers, marketers and hotels, pinpoint the buying habits of bass anglers.
Other findings include:
56 percent of anglers surveyed have an annual household income of $50,000 or more with nearly 16 percent bringing in more than $100,000 a year.
77 percent of bass anglers use artificial lures and baits.
More bass anglers (56 percent) fish from the shore, a dock or other land-based structure than from engine-powered bass and other style boats (49 percent).

NOW, what made me do this?
Well, first off, I figured you needed to know these facts, especially if you are not an outdoorsman, to see what the American outdoorsman contributes to the country's financial well being. Hunting & fishing are not just "seasonal sports" like, say...baseball or football. They go year round, from Jan 1 to Dec 31.

Secondly( & this is where I insert my own humble opinion...so, if you can agree to disagree with me, this is where the article stops for you...for the rest of us...read on): There are certain "Groups" of people who now want us to eat these so called "plant based meats"...meat that is supposed made from plants. What the Hell do they think I am??? A dumbass? I was raised on a farm as a kid...I KNOW where meat comes from. You have to KILL "little soft warm & cuddly animals" to get it. You don't grow it out of the ground. The world is so dumbed down now, they think the rest of us think like them. Whatever...
Also, if you get so many rules and regulations, like some states that I will not mention here, for sake of heading off an argument, eventually, the outdoorsman will just simply stop buying hunting & fishing gear, which is what these groups want. The reason is tri-fold. First, THEY want to be able to control what you eat. Second, you will stop killing "harmless little animals". Third, it can hurt the economy in ways that wouldn't necessarily crash the economy, but would put a dent in it, due to the BILLIONS gained in tax revenue. Revenue that is meant for infrastructure repairs, public lands & lakes maintenance, & other such benefitting things we enjoy without giving second thought to.
This is a tactic that has been around since the dawn of communism, but utilized almost perfectly in 1930s-1940s Germany: Control the food sources, you control the population!

Let me show you a couple verses from the King James Bible that tell me this is all wrong (which, BTW, is something else these "special interest groups" also hate...GOD!) :
Ahh...never mind....its too long...I will just provide the link....

https://biblelife.org/biblediet.htm

Its all there.

I do know that in the New Testament, God told Peter after Peter had told God he would not go against the Jewish diet that he had been raised on...God told him : "What I have made clean, no man can call impure". Now that's not the exact words...but close enough you can find that verse for yourself.
So, IN MY OWN HUMBLE OPINION....it is biblically correct to eat whatever YOU want. The REAL secret is to eat & drink all foods & drinks IN MODERATION! YES, for those of you that are wondering, that does INCLUDE alcohol.

Thank you for taking the time to read this...now...GO OUTSIDE & GO HUNTING OR FISHING. Take a kid or grandkid with you. TEACH them how to forage for their own food, because the time is coming quickly that supermarkets will NO LONGER be an option, that is, unless you submit yourself to government control!

All comments on this topic addressed to me will be welcome, whether they are positive OR negative....BUT DO NOT comment to me with hatefully baited comments...they will find their way into my trash folder. I believe in your right to your opinion, because I am entitled to mine & if ya don't like what I say in my blog, then I don't have to like your reply.

So, if you want to get "REAL" 'woke' (the latest, stupidest saying of all time), consider thoughtfully on what you have read here today.
