Draco was a Dragonfish
Hiding in the cave
Whenever I felt upset
He would come out to play

First he would peek out
Then he would swim out
Attach himself to the glass
Searching for food to eat

I give some flakes
He swims up and grabs it
Grew a few inches longer
But thriving in the aquarium

Then I sit down on bed
He would swim around
In and out at bottom
Until he found his cave

Right this way to Omaha, Nebraska. A special place there we're looking at while we visit is the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. It is rated one of the best zoos in the country and situated in the heart of United States. The animals there is organized in unique biomes or by specific animals, or in general. There is the Desert Dome, Aquarium, Jungle, Cat House, Aviary, and more. These places will be covered in a little bit more detail as we venture into the zoo. Won't be covered but there are restaurants and cafes as you wander around the zoo looking at the animals. The food and drink is delicious. Perfect size for the size of the zoo. Will be covered is the gift shop. At the end of the journey we can stop by the gift shop and pick up a souvenir. It will be one trip we won't forget.

Let's begin with the Desert Dome. The Desert Dome is remarkable and huge. Once inside, it feels like you are walking in a desert. There are animals that belong in the desert at home in this habitat. Ranging cats to snakes, they got it all. There is a sandy path to venture through and tunnels as well. The dome is visible almost right away when you enter and you can see the space inside is spacious all around, containing various plants along the way. It is bright and warm inside, no need for a jacket. The journey takes approximately an hour to walk through and visit with all the animals available. There is also a bonus cave walk through attached to the Desert Dome where they have bats as well. All their animals are kept healthy and safely in exhibits.

Next is the Aquarium. This aquarium is unlike any around the world. It is a walk through and the fish and sharks and manta rays can swim over your head. This walk through must be the coolest part of the aquarium. To your left is fish and to your right is fish. But up above too could be fish as well. There is coral growing bright and colorful to help feel like home for the fish. The decorations at the bottom is just as entertaining. This is the biggest part of the aquarium. I love it and is a favorite of mine. There is also jellyfish, starfish, and clown fish too. This is the best view to get a taste of what lives in the ocean. Walk, sit down, and enjoy the view. Eventually you'll reach the end. There's fun facts along the way.

Third is the Jungle biome. There are Macaws and Toucans here as well as monkeys. There are also other animals here which walks on four feet. They also give fun facts about the animals they display here. Even go through a waterfall. There's a spot where you could end up cold and wet from the waterfall. I've been there. It's so addicting to walk through that spot though. The water keeps going, but some of it ends up in the path. Then we go downward to the bottom. More animals awaits. It's exciting to go through the jungle. Go up and go down, there's animals all around. There are also some magnificent plants as well.

And more there are elephants. They show different kinds of elephants there. There are giraffes as well. Wallabies too. There's a ride to take to see these other animals that don't fit into a certain category. I've been on this ride myself. Walking would take a long time and all day at the zoo wouldn't cut it. I think there are wolves as well. There may still be a Rhino or two out there. They have new buildings for the new elephants being introduced into the zoo and more additional features here.

Next is the Aviary, where the birds are kept. There are different kinds of birds in there and well worth a visit on a sunny or cloudy day. Walking through the trees is amazing and here and there are the birds. Some might even fly close by. Speaking of close encounter, I've gotten pretty close to one one time. Still at a safe distance, but sure was close.

Lastly, there is the Cat House. This is where they keep the lions and tigers as well as several other different types of cats. One of my favorite places as well, besides the aquarium. The cats are huge and some are striped, some are dotted, and others are plain. It is an interesting variety. If it starts raining this is a go to place to shelter from the rain. Usually one of the last stops before the gift shop.

The gift shop is a neat must go to stop as we end our day. There is a variety of stuffed toy animals to choose from as well as some other related things. I generally look at all the toys. I had gotten a fruit bat and a snake one time from the shop. That lasted me years. Until I gave it away to my niece and nephew. Don't have it anymore. But it served as a memory and a reminder of my trip over to the zoo with my family. There is no question about it I had fun. We all did.

The Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo is a must go trip, whether planning on being in Omaha, Nebraska for a day or for a week. There is many exciting animals to see and it's divided into biomes and types of animals for the most part. Desert Dome, Aquarium, and Jungle are all biomes while Cat House, Aviary, and more is more about specific animals. Kids and adults alike will love it there and will want to come back next year for more. I've listed in order of the places I go to while I visit the zoo. I believe I didn't cover Butterfly Pavilion but that's another option to enjoy as well. And there are restaurants and cafes along the way.

Trees are budding near

Patrick belonged to the church
At times he green was important
Treats were given to the people

In all he preached the news
Christians honor him as a saint

Spiders come out from their hiding places

Joe decided to bring Zoe along with him to the hangout where he'd be going to meet his best friend Doe. Doe wanted to show him to someone and he couldn't wait to see who it was going to be. Stopping his car in front of Zoe's house, he watched as the door opened and Zoe came out, dressed up as he suggested. Doe would certainly like Zoe this way. Zoe got into the car and he drove off to the meeting place- Deer Restaurant, where they served deer meat and had something for vegetarians too. Zoe was the only vegetarian. Everyone was there. He didn't recognize who was standing with Doe, but Zoe did.

"He's a vegetarian too, just like me! I'm not the only one then," Zoe exclaimed in excitement as we strolled up to Doe.

"Good, then maybe things will work out eating at this restaurant. I will still support you in your diet by going vegetarian too just for this one meal," Joe said, glad to see the situation was looking good.

"Howdy friend! I see you brought your other friend along. Must be Zoe. This is Chad and he's a vegetarian. For tonight, I'd call this hangover a vegetarian night. We eat what they eat in support for their diet. Chad is a celebrity so he's always on the phone. But we agreed that this is the best restaurant to go to. How's that?" Doe announced with a smile.

"I'm all for that to happen. How about a special kiss on it?" Joe agreed.

"I'm on it," Doe said.

After the kiss everybody went in with Joe being second, right behind Doe. He listened to Doe's adventures of baking cookies and how they ended up in coal. The story didn't quite make sense to him but he imagined burnt to a crisp and uneatable. He sympathized with the attempt and then their turn came to sit down at a booth and each were given a menu. He hadn't tried anything on the vegetarian list so wondered what Zoe would pick. Pickled Lentil Soup was what Zoe looked at the most and decided upon so he decided he would get the same thing. He had had Lentil Soup before so figured it would taste alright and would fill him up. The others decided on the same thing to his surprise.

"Okay, are you ready to order?" Jace, the waitress, asked holding up a pad and pen.

"Yes, Pickled Lentil Soup please. All of us want the same thing," Joe ordered and the others confirmed what he said. Then ordered some dessert as well.

"Wonderful. Are you all vegetarians?"

"I'm not, neither is he, but we are honoring our friends' diet."

"That's so supportive to hear. Okay, your order will be on its way. Let me know if you need anything."

"Thank you for being so supportive of our diet. There's not many people who respect vegetarians like us. I've had one in particular who was adamant about eating meat and not eating their veggies and I thought what a crazy guy. That guy didn't last long, but he sure hurt my reputation badly. Many people stood up to my side when I was dealing with him. Some sided with that guy but didn't push it like he did. What a life I have to deal with. I'm famous for my vegetarian recipes. Easy to make and serves a few. Sometimes I make servings for many. Mostly for a few," Chad said with a tear rolling down his eye.

"We'll stand up for you no matter what," Joe promised.

I grew up fascinated with dragons. It was a challenge to draw and it still is a challenge as I learned new details. Dragons are majestic. I think they represent me in a way because when I love to have something, I don't want it taken away. There is an adventure waiting and I got unfinished works to do. That video game idea for example. It contains creatures. But far from done. What's this got to do with spirituality?

I believe that mythical creatures do exist outside our realm. Either that or it is all figurative. Either way, things disappear for no reason at all only to turn up when we don't need it. There is the unexplainable. With God anything is possible though. So maybe after technology wears off heaven comes to Earth and magic starts. Divine powers at work. Mystery would only grow deeper.

There are miracles in my environment that has shaped my life. My foot got caught in a bike one time led to a clumsy me just wanting to avoid falling. It's a miracle no broken bones. Then, when moving, my car died and restarted despite lacking oil. Another miracle. Nothing lost. Then there's the time I had developed bronchitis after a cold which only ended after a trip to doctor and getting prescribed an effective solution. Only needed to go once. But that cough just didn't quit otherwise.

Dreams are just that- dreams. But since I grew up learning many things I grew more and more cautious. But there is such a thing as being too cautious. I could only hope to improve and one day be in a place I could live comfortably. It never hurts to dream big things but living comfortable at minimum wage is what I depend on doing.

Naturally I am happy and careful. Situations require me to be fast and accurate. I am rather clumsy with speech. It may take me a while but I am accurate. Typing is nearly well done as I learned how from school and kept it up despite being poor. I further enhanced this skill in college by taking Multimedia. Good editing skills if I could've afforded the program. Still, Flash is obsolete, but one of my favorites. I learned how to create a game.

Now I'm going for something stable, but I know what I could excel in. I just hope to be spiritually prepared for it and let it be the path God wants me to take. But I will consider doing something consistently under mom's permission.

The day I received a package from her, I will not forget. The wrap was neatly folded and tucked away with a bow on top. A special gift for me to enjoy and I love her so much too. Of course it would be a gift I look forward to. Whether it was for my birthday or for Christmas I didn't remember. I think it came around my birthday time. The gift was wrapped up in my favorite color blue.

I ripped open the package one by one. Out of the wrapped gift came a wonderful journal set with a galaxy theme. I thought it perfect to record my journey of my travels in it as a keepsake. A journal to keep for all the years of my life. I still have the journal and the journey to California written on its first few pages.

She is still alive and well. A family member of mine who lives half a country away from me. I still remember her whenever I pick up the journal. It is one gift I cherish the most. The galaxy is a wonder of God's creation and we breathe in the air of one of the planets.

Once a spider now a shark
Up the alley and down the window
A kid comes flying by and
It lands in their shirt

A scream cries out as the kid
Got jelloed
Look here at the mess
A shark and jello spilled all over

Time to clean it up
Before the kid's parents come

Sharks swim in water of course
But this one grew big from jello
Out popped a hair dryer
For the kid to dry off

Lily is the best she could ever be. She wants me to be happy. Cancer took her life.

One of the main things we did was puzzles. Both of us loved animals too. Helping animals would be a dream come true. I could still make that a reality. She was a kind and gentle soul. Her home was simple. Everything put away neatly. Decorations here and there. And she kept puzzles for me to play with whenever I visited. This built up to my peak of putting together a Kaleidoscope puzzle in two weeks. Round and pieces were alike. I knew I could do it. She had faith in me.

We would also spend time at the park together. Just hanging out. Maybe find some golf balls that strayed from the golf course. She would tell me helpful stories. She missed her husband. But we had fun together. Her stories were valuable. She would often help animals.

One time there was a cat in need. It had been in a car accident and the owner was moving. I accepted taking care of that cat and called it Kitty. Kitty always had patience and would catch birds despite no claws. My parents were severely allergic though. Lily loved that cat too.

Her spirit lives on and helps guide me everywhere I go. Sometimes when I go to the park or be at her hometown I would think of her. Of course, I think of her through the activities I do. She would be proud of me.

"Happy Birthday WDC! Now you need 23 reasons to have 23 candles on your cake!" Whistle said as he bent over to count the candles.

"Why not focus on the real task at hand? We need 23 differently colored candles for the anniversary cake. It's not too much to ask, those are all white," Billiste said, observing the candles on the table.

"Oh, I need to go back to the store. These are all white. Still, 23 candles is a lot to ask for."

Whistle got up and went out with the company debit card. The store had all white candles. He needed to find differently colored candles. Furious, he went to the candle specialist. Maybe the candle specialist would be able to give the colors he needed. Since he had white, then he just needed 22 more candles.

The candle specialist welcomed him with open arms. He didn't expect such a warm welcome and was caught by surprised. The candle specialist's name was Jackie, and offered to do all 22 candles at various colors other than white for a fee. There were 22 tasks to take on. Food coloring, paint dye, and different colors of flowers was needed.

He agreed to find all 22 colors out there and wanted to have the best colors around. So he needed to go to the specialized stores that contained a variety of those. Going to the Dye store, he found 22 colors in food coloring. That was easy enough.

Next task wasn't so easy. He went to one paint specialist and they only had eight colors. So they referred him to another paint specialist. This one was well hidden and he needed to complete a task to find it and enter it. The task was simple, go to a magic store and gather magic crystals.

Eight blocks away, he saw the magic store. That was easy enough for him to find. But then he discovered to get the magic crystals he needed to find the magic wand. How many tasks did he need to do for paint dye? He swore he was being chased by a vampire.

Going to the park he observed all the bushes. The last bush had a branch that didn't belong. Pulling out the branch, he discovered it wasn't a branch at all but a magic wand, the one he needed to get. Now he needed to find the magic store again.

Back at the spot he had found the magic store in the first place he discovered that it wasn't there. It was gone! Then he picked up a note on the ground and followed that note to the direction of the magic store. He found it!

The cashier was pleased and asked to wave the wand again. A yellow glow came out on the other end of the wand. Then he was told the wand chose him and he could have the wand for free. The magic crystals costed a fortune. But the wand was priceless.

Then he received directions to the paint specialist he wanted to go to. Did he needed to give the magic crystals to the one he came from or for the one he was going to? He didn't know.

The unlucky 13 number appeared on the house of the place he wanted to go to. Since this was it, he wondered if he should walk up to the door. Instead an older looking mage stepped down with a smile and asked for the magic crystals. Then he was told to wait outside. There were 23 crystals and he needed 22 paint dye. He hadn't accepted the ones at the other paint specialist.

He waited and waited. The day was running out and he needed it by 14:00, or 2 pm. His boss was growing impatient.

By 11:00 am the wizard came out carrying a sac. In it were 22 different colored paint dye. Perfect. Now he needed the last thing: different colored flowers, all in solid colors.

He asked the wizard where he would find these flowers and the wizard gave him a note. At first nothing showed up. Then some lines with arrows appeared. A map!

17 blocks he went straight, then had to turn for another 17 blocks. He hoped there wasn't another quest. The paint dye was free itself. He had food coloring still. Good.

Finally he arrived at the flower house. There were all sorts of flowers on sale. Cut flowers was what he wanted.

19 doors to choose from as he walked all around. Which door was it? He began opening the doors and searching.

At the fifth door he opened he saw all sorts of flowers cut at the stem. Choosing it, he observed the colors. 22 matching flowers to paint dye and food coloring were found. Then he went to the cashier and paid for it.

21 blocks away he arrived at the candle specialist. This time a woman was there. He explained his situation and she nodded. She invited him to the waiting area and disappeared with the materials.

After an hour of waiting he got the candles he needed. They waved goodbye to each other and he headed out. Only to find his work across the street and usual buildings behind him! A portal! Just 12:00 pm, he wasn't late.

His boss greeted him as he walked through the door. He handed the candles to his boss. His boss was pleased. His work done now he could enjoy his lunch break which came right up to him: pizza.

I almost caught it!

My name was Zakia and I was home. The huge yard was always neatly mowed and there were birthday decorations all over my countryside house. One floor, many rooms, with pillars holding up the porch roof. Three garages and five cars. I was already driving for school. Still, one thing I couldn't forget was chasing butterflies. I loved them. Only holding them was difficult. They liked to fly away. Travel from one flower to another. And I wasn't going to go anywhere but my backyard. In my backyard I ran, around the swimming pool and into the garden. Magic interested me. If I imagined getting sucked through a portal they just laughed. My brothers thought I was weird with a big imagination. I was used to being alone at home with everyone gone. This was my situation now. Everyone was gone to work. I had a whole day to myself. Sometimes it was rumored that a butterfly was really a fairy in disguise. Once more, my family didn't believe it. In the garden I found multiple butterflies before landing my eyes on this one. The other butterflies dashed away as I came closer to my target. Oops, it flew away again, so I followed it, closer and closer to the edge of the prairie. Once past the prairie I couldn't continue farther, so I sped up.

It fluttered through the air as it passed my hand. A blue and silver butterfly that is. I followed it. The butterfly landed in the middle of a ring of mushrooms. I didn't even think about portals. I barrelled into the ring of mushrooms, taking care not to damage the mushrooms. And, as a carefree girl at the age of 12, I believed in fairy tales. No way was I going to let this one sweep by. As I laid my hand to the ground, I realized the butterfly was gone. Straightening up, I came face to face of what looked like a young girl with butterfly wings flapping behind her. She also seemed to have a tail and horns on her head. I wondered what could be wrong. Then I backed up- right into a tree! I had no place else to go to! The tree wasn't there before. I tripped and fell flat on my face. Ouch! I think I had twisted my foot.

"Welcome, Ashediped. This is the land of Arigorn. There is plenty to see and little time to see it. I am Mephisidiad, a part Fairy, part Dragon as you could tell. Only I don't belong in either world. Though they welcome me as their own. Now, you were chasing a butterfly just now. Will you accept my help in finding it? I'd hate if a bird got to it," Mephisidiad greeted me. I felt I had no other choice. The pain in my foot throbbed. She knelt down and a glow came from her hands. Suddenly the pain and throbbing stopped. I was healed! I stood up. It felt strange to be healed like that. Where on Misflit am I? Right, this wasn't Misflit anymore. I walked through a portal into a magical world! Magic existed!

"Sure. I can follow you for a little ways. But then I would need to get home soon so that my parents won't find out that I'm gone. I really shouldn't venture far from home," I said and the fairy turned and waved for me to follow. As I saw her back was covered in spikes I realized she wasn't lying. Part dragon. That would explain her horns and tail. Who would want to mess up a fairy's appearance anyway? Were there more hybrids out there with features that made them look ugly? Then I noticed she had pop something into her mouth. Gum?

She let herself down on the ground. That gave me the cue to look around. Humidity hit me in the face. Trees surrounded me. This wasn't home anymore. My home didn't have trees like this. They weren't full grown. Trees were encouraged to prevent erosion. That I believed and daddy must have believed in it too. As I ran I noticed she didn't seem to wear out. Beads of sweat broke out on me and I wondered how much longer did we have to go. Then she had me stop too and tested the ground. Something worried her and we could hear voices in the distance. I wondered what they were arguing about and if I had come in the middle of a war. I hoped not.

"I am not going to tell you the location of my daughter. Besides, she ran off somewhere. I'm looking for her too."

"Where is she? She is vital to my command. I won't stop until I have her. She carries magic unrecognizable to others, including you, and I want those powers."

"You'll never get those powers. We'll throw magic against you to keep her hidden until she's ready. It's called love."

"Love is foolish and weak. It's impossible to underestimate the power of love. I will use you for bait. If I can't find her, then I'll lure her."

We ventured deep into the rows of trees and bushes and then knelt down behind a bush. I wondered why so suddenly and then she made a couple peepholes for us to see. As I stared through the peephole I made out a Fairy and a Dragon. Only this wasn't just any kind. They had crowns on their head. Then I wondered why she didn't have a crown. They were arguing to a shadow. What kind of shadow I didn't know. Then a leech life-sized monster came into view. It looked hideous with its open mouth with rows of teeth and flappy skin all the way down to the tail. I watched as it threw chains around the fairy and dragon's neck and limbs. Their eyes began to glow and they stopped arguing. The villain I thought. Then the butterfly appeared in the middle. No!

The butterfly was immediately transformed into a monster. I clasped my mouth with my hands to keep from screaming. I didn't know what I would do to rescue it. I glanced at the hybrid. She signalled to keep quiet. Whatever that monster was was a creep. Evil was the right word. Then the creep spoke. "I have destroyed the king and queen and now I am ruler over the fairies and dragons. Let there be chaos as plans and dreams are destroyed. Tell me your location."

Nothing. Just silence.

The leech left with the fairy and dragon. I stopped watching and turned to look at the hybrid. Tears rolled down her cheeks and I felt bad. Were they her parents? And, if so, was she a princess? I fumbled with my newfound knowledge. Possibly. She kept me safe, maybe I could trust her. She must've known that leech monster too. She motioned for us to stay in the bushes for while longer. The butterfly seemed to disappear last. I sighed. Now we needed to hide from the butterfly. Not chase it.

"Where they your parents? Who was that leech?" I asked. She let up a bit.

"Choufagondile. The master of evil. He imprisoned and bewitched my parents! I want him to pay back for what he had done. Now the kingdom will fall to chaos! Only the Levintil Creatures can stop him. You can impress them by feeding them, then they'll be on your side. They grow and mature quickly too. Shape shifters. No definite shape. Carnivores," Maphisidiad explained. I took the hint. Levintil Creatures. What they were was a mystery. I mulled over what they could look like at any time. Beautiful or ugly? Yet the most desired of all. Beautiful.

"Let's find a brood of them. But do you know where to go?" I said.

"Yes. Follow me," she said.

She stopped crying as we went deep into the forest. I followed her for so long I lost track of the way back to the portal. I wasn't even thinking about the portal back then. It struck me odd to have seen a fairy and a dragon together. Where was the rest? Were they taken too by the creepy leech monster? I didn't know what to say. I just remembered how their eyes started to glow strangely when they were captured. Did he have a mind control spell? These questions and more haunted me. As I ran to keep up the trees started thinning and becoming further apart. The sporadic wildlife sometimes revealed themselves. We suddenly slowed down to a stop. Then she told me to be quiet. Something wasn't right.

I followed as quietly as I could into the village. I saw a boy in chains and felt sorry for him. So this world has people like me too. Yet, these houses were different. They were all small, seemingly built for dwarves. Soon I encountered an adult one looking away from me. They were dwarves! We soon creeped around the clearing into a middle of a batch of eggs. Six were the largest, followed by 14 of various medium sized, and ending with six of the smallest. There were bags of food that smelled of fresh meat from the market. Immediately, the eggs started floating and so did the meat from the hooks. She was using her magic! I wondered what were the side effects of the magic.

"This way. We need to hurry. They might see us and imprison us too. Choufagondile has them under his powers. The streets are empty. Too empty." With that we moved followed by the eggs and meat.

The boy was still there playing ball. Suddenly, he turned and looked at us. With one cry doors opened revealing more. With weapons. We bolted into a run and made the eggs and meat invisible, still following close behind. We made it into the forest and then his in bushes surrounding the trees. I could barely make out the outline of the eggs and meat and my heart pounded so hard I felt it was going to burst. We could hear men and woman as well as children coming after us. They were slow in moving. I peered out of a peephole she made but could only hear sounds. We hoped the other food bags won't be taken. Suddenly, she dropped the invisible spell, looking aged and worn out. This must be her limit. She fell asleep right then and there. Things were settling and the dwarves seemed to calm down. I could hear no voice after a while. It didn't mean the coast was clear. The sky drew dark before I fell asleep too.

When I woke up Maphisidiad was already awake. She motioned for me to come look at the eggs with the food bag opened. I grabbed meat from the bag and waited. There were cracks in the eggs. The littlest eggs then started cracking apart and nothing seemed to come out. She was sure excited though. Then I watched as the food in my hand started disappearing. I seemed to also have a flood of magical power build up through me and I was looking at fog. Fog didn't exist without the weather. But then she had said the shape shifters could be anything. After the meat was gone I took out more meat. This was four steaks of meat being eaten. And still they ate all the meat. I brought out two more and they ate those too. But, for the fourth time of doing it, they wanted no more.

"Full. Tired." One of the creatures spoke up.

"Now, you should have shape shifting capabilities. There are six food bags. The bigger ones could carry them from birth in the shape of a monkey. I know of a place to go to from a story. Three hills and one tall mountain, the Shukulas remains hidden. They train these creatures. But, for now, we stay here until more hatches." She ran her fingers through her hair.

I thought about it for a moment. I didn't know what to think. Then more eggs started hatching. I watched as they appeared empty like the first. A dozen eggs this time. I took out a dozen meat and fed each one of them individually. They ate it all. Then the same response. Full. Tired. They drifted off to sleep. Next I was recognizing to prepare for the largest eggs to hatch. I took out a dozen meat. They might consume more than one due to size. We waited for those eggs to hatch in silence. It didn't take long for them too. The meat started disappearing until it all disappeared. This time it took two instead of one, as anticipated. Then they repeated the previous. Full. Tired. Soon all of the creatures were fast asleep. I didn't know if I impressed them or not, so I raised a questioning look.

"Only Ashediped are able to impress them. We'll find out more when they wake up if you impressed them. They will start being talkative in your favor to you if you impressed them. Then they will be your side forever. We could test to see if you have the powers of shape shifting now. Focus on your favorite animal or creature and see if you turn into that. The clothes changed to the fancy clothes of an elite shape shifter. I think you impressed them and they are yours forever now." She encouraged.

I focused and felt myself growing spikes and wings. I succeeded. Now i was a dragon hybrid. And the clothes disappeared. I panicked. Would the clothes come back to me? I focused on my normal self once more. Once again I changed. I became human again. Brilliant. I thought of correcting her about me being human. Only humans can impress. It would make a lot more sense. But now I learned a word she knew.

"From now on call me and others like me human beings, or human. I could barely understand you when you say that word and I don't know what it means well. But now I think I know. Now, since I've impressed them, we need to train them, don't we. Can they turn into marbles?" I saw her shocked and saying the word human over and over.

"Sure thing, I think I can remember that. I wonder what other strange words you, humans, have come up with. There is a trainer on the mountain that's the most famous. Sliciophith. I hope we can find him and he can train you and your creatures. It would be better for them to turn into marbles for the journey. All you have to do is to send a mental picture of a marble for them. What to also do is to watch for exhaustion. The more exhausted they are from holding a disguise, the less likely they will to hold it. Magic is a tricky thing. We should camp out here tonight. I'm fatigued. I can turn the food bags except one to a marble and we could hustle tomorrow. Most likely tomorrow night. That would be safer. Once on the road there is no turning back. Now, I have lots of money. We could stay at hotels and eat at restaurants. How does that sound?" Mephisidiad said.

"That sounds like a great idea. In the meantime, we could get to know each other. Let's start with you first." I wondered if she could cook some meat and we could eat. I was hungry now.

We both took out a steak of raw meat and I watched as she used magic to cook them. Now the meat was edible. It tasted good too as I put it into my mouth and chewed. Just lacked salt and seasoning. She was a great cook. Then I pondered if using her magic card was a good idea. They could be traced and captured if she used her money and there was no guarantee that we would be safe. I figured, bad idea now. We needed to hide and dash to the mountain she spoke of. In a world of magic I wondered if we would ever find it. I whispered the problem to her and her eyes opened wide. She hadn't thought about that being a result and nodded in agreement. Soon, we finished our meat and then thought about going out at night for a head start. The entire town was under attack with all the citizens in chains and were probably hiding chains in their building to capture the unsuspected. This was going to travel all over their world if this kept up. She assured that only the shape shifters would be able to resist his powers. He held the lowliest rank of shape shifters who often chose those that were very educated.

"I live in a castle perfect for fairies and dragons alike. Unlike fairy tales, we are more of the size of a dwarf. The castle can be boring with all of its rules and regulations. I want an adventure, to explore the outside walls at my own ease. Mom and dad always find a way to find me though. This time, they are in trouble. I wish I could warn the others. If they feed that truth potion under that power, he will know everything and seize the peaceful castle. It maybe too late to go back. However, we shouldn't fight for just ourselves. We should fight for the others too. Those dwarves looked miserable and wanting to cry. I could help you train to be a fighter. You are the only one who won't be affected like other shape shifters. You need to impress a creature army to face him. Any brave souls we can influence the better. I'll help you with my reliable resources. I know I can. I'm a princess. I know so much." I could tell there was determination in her face. I couldn't discourage it. And I wasn't much of a fighter. I wanted to back out.

"I want to be a vet. I love animals. And this is one of the things that excites me. What would hurt these creatures? I can't bear to think about that. However, if we get them trained right then they'll help you conquer your enemy, that leech. His name- I can't say it. I can't say your name either. So I'll call you Princess. But I have a good memory with names. That's no problem. Think it's night time now so we can start? I can't wait to get a good look at the stars. The stars make the world go around. Pardon me if I say too much, but I tend to be open. Though, I have pretty much said my desire. I'm hoping to marry a good man with solid faith. What is faith out here like?" I said slowly so as to not get caught.

"Me- I want peace. There is no peace when someone finds out my parents are kidnapped. I'm afraid he would be hunting for me next, and I know you came from the portal. Remember, he doesn't know about you. He knows that butterfly now, but that butterfly is useless to him. My kingdom is at peace, except news travel fast and there will no longer be any peace. I'm happy to meet you and I cheer you on to save the planet. No, it's not your creatures that will do the saving. It will be up to you. You'll be trained just as equally. I believe in you. You can do it."

I withdrew. How impossible. How is it possible? The volcano turned blue. That wasn't what the experiment was for. Then, I thought, I'll rebuild it and do it again. Directions never said the volcano would turn blue.

I opened another box with the exact same ingredients. Then I put together another volcano. Brown. I read the ingredients carefully, thinking I made a mistake. Then I smelled the powder before mixing in water. Azeryllia substance. I had that in Chemistry class and we made sure to memorize the distinct smell. It couldn't be. Still, I poured it into the vial and mixed it with water. Then I poured the first chemical, then the second chemical. As expected, it exploded. When I wiped off the mess on the volcano, I discovered my senses didn't lie. They had put the wrong chemical in! The volcano was once more blue from the explosion. And so was the vial. Azeryllia was a blue, magical paint that looked orange to start with but dried blue. My party was going to be spoiled.

A long time ago I went to church as a young girl. One of the first songs to learn was Jesus Loves Me. Only I sang Jesus rules me instead for the first month. The other children laughed and made fun of me for my singing and the teacher constantly repeated Jesus loves me instead. I just couldn't figure it out since none of the other children were willing to correct me.

When I read the words though it became clear I had misheard the song. I had to sing Jesus loves me instead of Jesus rules me. If only I had heard the words correctly and was able to sing it right. It would have saved being teased over such a simple song. Jesus does rule but that wasn't what the song was about.

I consider this to be my most embarrassing time of my life. Who could misunderstand the lyrics of a simple song? Well, I am one of those people. I won't ever forget my most embarrassing moment of time. What could be ever more embarrassing?

It's Christmas in July
Peppermint is on the table
Chocolate is ready to serve
Cold on the inside, hot on the outside

It's Christmas in July
Eerie silence all around
Joy of presents to unwrap
Decorations hung and lit

It's Christmas in July
Snow is spread on the ground
Quickly melted by the heat
Barbecue weather on the grill

It's Christmas in July
Celebrated by certain cultures
Maybe snowing maybe sunny
Still a gift to share for all

"It is a rememberable weekend. Just look at this scene. Rows of corn at your fingertips as we're driving by," Peppy said as he drove the car.

Suddenly a large deer stepped out onto the middle of the road. Peppy only had seconds to act fast. Molly closed her eyes and shouted, "Watch out!"

The deer moved too slowly as the car steered out of control and hit the deer on its side damaging the bumper and top. Though the deer survived it didn't get up and Peppy and Molly were trapped by the airbags. The car came to a halt.

"Now we need to call the police and have this car totaled. Molly are you alright? Maybe I should call for the ambulance as well. I won't forget about this weekend," Peppy said.

"My legs. I don't think I can get out on my own," Molly groaned and reached up to touch her face.

"911 This is Peppy. We are located on Route 66. Molly and I were cruising cornfields and a deer ran right in front of us. We need an ambulance and a tow truck. Yes. Report this in. Thank you. Good bye," Peppy said.

The moment I have a few minutes to myself I have to just take it. One breath at a time. In and out. Take it easy and clear my mind. It's important to say a word of prayer in silence. To God. Be still and feel His presence. To be at peace is all I ask for.

Allah! I say and I be silent. My mind drifts with the things I have to do for my family. All I want is a few moments of peace so that I can focus on prayer. Isn't that too hard to ask for? Alone, by myself, I am capable of it. But then things don't get done. Will there ever be true peace?

Breathe in and out. In and out. I love it when I get a moment of peace. All is still. At least until I get called. But until then, I can say that I have peace. Brilliant.

"Look at my glasses- don't they look tasty? I can't help but to want to eat my glasses," Racheal said holding up two glazed donuts to her face.

"They look wonderful my dear. Careful not to drop them on the floor. The honey badger might get them. Speaking of, I have two donuts as well that I could put over my face. Now we are twins," Stephanie said holding hers up.

"Now to show mommy and daddy. They would love to see my glasses. Yours too. We could show off our glasses together."

"Not if I beat you to them first. I dare you to eat half of your glasses. They would fit better."

"No they won't. I want to show to my parents whole. It's either a hole or nothing."

"Watch this. It's half and half."

Stephanie began taking big bites out of her donuts until each one of them was in a semi circle. Racheal watched in dismay as her hole or nothing theory was crushed. Things were not going as planned after all. Quickly, she ran as fast as she could so she could beat her sibling to her parents. Her stomach growled and she thought about eating her glasses. Not yet though, she felt determined to make it. The donut was one big hole after all in her eyes.

"Mommy, look at the glasses I'm wearing. Aren't they pretty?" Racheal called out as soon as she reached her mother.

"Looks like they are adorable. They just need to be filled so you could see," her mother said. Racheal thought for a moment on what that could mean and then gobbled up both donuts. "Oh dear, now you need a replacement. That's not the kind of filling I was referring to."

Filled to the brim, Racheal asked, "Then what kind of filling were you talking about?"

"These donuts have it. Stuffed with cream filling. You'll see better with these donuts on your eyes and they're a lot tastier too. Try them on. Cherry or blueberry. Or you can have both."

"I would like both. Different colors results in different experience. They make way better glasses than my original ones plus they are filled! Thank you."

"Okay I'm here. Hey, where did you get those glasses? Those are way cooler than these. May I have one too?" Stephanie asked as she came around the corner. Racheal knew she loved the cream filled donuts just as much as she did. Donuts that won't be scattered in the yard afterwards.

Jack sat down by the well as Jill went to fetch the pail to fill up with water. He twiddled his thumbs and pondered over the scene as he waited for her to come back. The sun lingered in the air above and didn't give any relief to the warming day. Sweat poured down his face as he waited and he waited. Soon she came back and he stood to put the pail into the well for a pail of water. This was no job to go goofing around on but to do it as quickly as possible. Not a single word to be spoken. That was part of the competition. Falling down the hill would automatically disqualify them as well.

Jack heaved the bucket of water and watched Jill go down the hill. Then he started following after her. One slip and it would be all over for him. He held his breath and slowly made his way down the hill. One foot in front of the other. He wasn't going to break his crown this time, not now. Not after what happened last time. Slowly, he walked with his feet gripping the ground like toothbrushes does to the teeth. Not very well. The water splat right into his face just as he made it to the bottom of the hill. She waited for him and took the bucket of water without saying another word. He needed the help, badly. Then he fell. At least he didn't fall down the hill and got disqualified. But the pain arose. His crown was hurting badly again. Maybe he wasn't up for this challenge after all. He got up anyway and started limping. Everyone knew his story.

As Jill waited for him to come up beside him there was a challenger coming up to the finish line as well with the bucket of water. They were not going to finish in first place. Then she saw Jack limping and cheered him on to hurry over as fast as he could. They were almost done. The other challenger needed their partner to come on over to finish the race. Jack came slowly but surely. They won!

"Look Sandy- there is a strange critter peeking out of the hole. Its claws are just right for digging holes in the ground."

"Oh Mackenzie. I don't see it. I don't see my cucumber hill either. Something must have dug a hole in the place of my cucumber hill. By the way is the critter adorable?"

"Adorable? A garden digger and you are asking if it's adorable? I don't know what to say to that. It does have an adorable face I'll give that much right now."

"I can bet it must be a mole if it's adorable. Otherwise it could be a rodent."

"I guess it is adorable. But were you saying something about a hole where your cucumber hill is? Then this mole needs a new home. Oh no, it disappeared through the hole it was peeking out of."

"Oh now I see it! It is a mole indeed! Poor thing needs a new home. We can't have moles digging up holes in the garden. What a mess they do make. It's not safe for the mower either to have holes in the ground."

"Right we need to catch that mole and find it a new home. It might even have a family with it. So best to tell mommy."

"Mommy won't be home until around noon and the mole will disappear then. Why don't we call ourselves?"

"I don't know the number and I can't read the phone book. It's too risky. For now we can watch this adorable mole poke itself out of the hole until mommy comes home."

"Aww okay. Be that way. I can barely read myself let alone dial any numbers. I'll wait for mommy to come home then."

"That settles it."
