Prologue


There was a red haze in the sky. The soft clopping of hooves lulled the riders as they made their way up the long highway. A lone hose carried two distinct figures, one sitting tall and proud; watchful. The gaze seemed to keep everything in sight. The second seemed much smaller, slightly hunched in the front of the saddle, swaying with each step the horse took.
