Psalm 90:10, "The length of our days is seventy years—or eighty if we are strong....
Three Score and Ten the Introduction,

Well here we go, After 50 years I am going to take another attempt at writing. The first time was the Palmer writers correspondence school in 1969. The writing will be not a book that will be written with the idea of being published, But will be a writing of thoughts unencumbered by possible publishing and monetary gain. This writing will be a hybrid of Journal and Reminisce. It is important to me that the writings are my true thoughts at the time, not influenced by any factor. The writing will try to explain how a 70 year old white, male USA citizen now relates to today's world. Is every oldest generation lost in their own world, that they aged into? What do I see, and feel as I age farther. I know I am not normal as in what this world today would consider normal. But I hope I am in the ball park writing the thoughts of a 70 year old. I hope for you to learn to know who I am, As I search for Who I am at 70+ This work will carry on until I am no longer able to think or write. This will be done on a nearly daily writing interwoven with a life's reminiscing. This writing has been in the planning for 10 plus years. and I have now made it to this starting point. This writing is dedicated to My Wife The Kitten, My family, My grand children, Lukas, Levi, Luis, Lydia and Sonora Pearl. I thank you God that you have allowed me to have your Three Score and Ten Time.

We are ready for our Flea Market set up for tomorrow. The van is loaded. Now if I am taking the right items. That is always the question. if I chose well we may do well. We can take about a third of the flea market inventory. I hope experience leads me chose well. I have been doing flea markets 30 plus years. The flea markets now wear me out, I chose, Load the van, Unload the van, Set up the display, Hopefully sell for about six hours, Tear down, pack up, load the van, When back home, unload the van and store away for the next market. Before the van is loaded to leave there is the research and marking that can be very time consuming. This is done so a stranger can haggle and try to get a 3.00 item for 2.00. BUT, we are fortunate that we are able to still do markets, I is enjoyable meeting the other venders. What a nice group of people with similar interests and stories. It is a social event for us as we now have few opportunities for that type of thing. The Little Dog Biscuit will be joining us tomorrow as an associate sales dog. He says we will sell for 10% value in treats. His normal dog sitter is busy. It will be an experience as he loves people.
I hope you all have a Blessed Evening

It has been hot this week and the heat is dragging me down. My motivation to do things is still there but the energy is not. It was nice to fish with you guys over the weekend. I sure am glad you caught some fish and seemed to have a good time. It always worries me that you will not catch fish.
It seems early this year that the garden is winding down, The Garlic, Shallots, Onions, Sweet Corn, Cauliflower, Strawberries, Black Raspberries, Romaine, Spinach, Cilantro, Oregano, Thyme, Basil, are harvested. Some potatoes are ready to dig, first cutting of Celery done. Now using Zucchini and Cucumbers for meals. It has been a blurr of a garden season, with vine crops, tomatoes and peppers and late potatoes to go.

Then there is the roofing of the garage. The so called roofer is gone. The roof is done and it looks satisfactory. I have never had such a difficult contracting project and there have been many over the years. This project was simple, It should have been a walk in the park. What did I learn, ask for references, check references. Grandsons when hiring a contractor do your Due Diligence before signing any agreement.

They are going to dig up the street boulevard tomorrow to put in a new water line to the house. More fun and games. I hope it goes well and things are restored soon after. I will be watching close

I guess I will be waiting for it to cool down here before going out fishing. We will be going north again in a week and hope to fish with my brother. I have not kept any fish for a while. I need to clean some fish now. I hope you are having a Blessed Day

Sorry about my tardiness in writing, I have just not been in the mood to write. So much going on, so much difficulty and complication in everything being done. Maybe it is age, just me. The roofer finally finished doing the garage. What a character, He had no help or money to do job. I had to feed him money all the way through project. The job done looks good but what aggravation.
We went north last Thursday. I did get the potatoes hilled, what was left of them after deer and potato beetles. I did manage to fish a bit. I caught some crappies and walleyes and bass. I kept none for eating.
Now I just got news of another circus here. They are going to change our water line here from lead to copper on Thursday the 29th. It will be more destruction to fix something that is not broke. On the plus side it is being done with city grant money. But the excitement never ends here in the south. I am so tired of what people today call progress. I am agitated, can you tell.
We will leave this Thursday for the north. I hope to see you Lukas and Levi and we catch some fish. Have a blessed week all of you.

Hello Grandkids
Wow, It has been over a week since I wrote to you last. How time does pass away when you are busy and old at the same time. I am agitated the roofer is supposed to be here now, another no show?, We shall see. I have never seen such ineptitude and disorganization. I just want him finished and gone. A word of warning guys. Be careful who you hire. Not all people are cut from the same cloth.

We are leaving for the north again today. i have not been able to get the potatoes hilled there. It is always to wet when we are there. I has to get done this time up. And I need to check out the lake I want to take you guys too when you come up. The channel into the lake was blocked last last year when I was there. The bog moved and closed it off. It is a special family lake that has been fished by us for three generations. I hope I can get you into the lake. It is a good remote fishing lake.

The garden has been doing well, But everything seems early this year. A lot of harvesting has been done which will help with the water bill.

Well the roofer just showed up. Now will they get done, It is not starting out well.

I will write again when we return from the north. Did you guys miss that row of garden weeds.
Have a Blessed Day All

We are getting ready to leave for the Northwoods Haven. it is always nice to get there and good to return. There are no distractions up there. just a feeling of peace. I need the less stressful environment at this time. The fellow who is supposed to be roofing has been a real disappointment. I am not sure he know what end is up. I made a mistake hiring him. I will be so glad to I hope get the garage roof done. A simple garage roof is a slam dunk, No rocket science. He is supposed to show earlier tomorrow morning and work till it gets to warm. He may bring some help. I just do not understand how he operates a business.
Up north this trip I will finish planting the perennial flowers. I hope it will not be to wet to hill the potatoes. They are up and should be ready to hill. We shall see. I hope I can get some quality fishing time in. It has been hard to find time to fish down here. It seems I am not as enthusiastic as I once was. It has been to warm to comfortably fish in a kayak. The heat gets me know and tires me out. I am happy that you Lukas now have a good size trout under your belt. I think the you are the one now hooked. I will wait for you and your brother Levy to get a nice bass boat and take me fishing, It won't be to many more years.
We are working mornings and evenings in garden here. We are harvesting Peas, Black Raspberries, Romaine Lettice and today our first Eggplant. It was good for a change. I still have some chores to do. Soooo I will write of the goings on in the north when we return.
Guys turn out that light, and close the Chicken House Door. The rest of you along with the grandkids have a Blessed Evening.

Hello Grandkids and ........
I know it has been two weeks since I have written. I am trying to keep a lot of balls in the air. I hate it when I drop a ball. The ball that has dropped is the garage roofing. I just can not get him to do the job. I am into him for the materials so I will have to play his game. But I will get my turn at bat. It seems I come into the house down here and I am too tired to think and write. In the north there is no internet service. Which is fine with me to get away from the media and phone. There is no phone service there other then a no go land line service I do not want. I was happy to see some of you Grandsons on Fathers Day. The best gift you can give me or any older person is a piece of your time. I hope you know that. For the daughters and Sons in Laws I know you are busy, and have busy lifestyles. Your time is important Thank You for sharing some with me.
We took the Little dog down this week for his summer cut. It was a new place for us to go. I guess they did Okay. But the Little dogs looks even littler now. He will go in again the very end of October. That little dog has become the therapy of our life. There is always time and treats for Little Dog.
The garden is doing better, We got some real rain. The grass greened up again. We have ended strawberry picking here. We now we are picking Black Raspberries. I started Pea Picking tonight. I love fresh picked, Buttered, salted Garden Peas. They will be for dinner tomorrow. We do not freeze a lot of peas. We could never have garden room to freezer a years worth. and also it gets to hot down here too fast for good peas.
As for you Grandsons Be Blessed, Keep your garden weeded, Don't take any wooden nickels, and Close the Chicken Coop Door
As for you readers have Blessed Evening
