Practicing gratitude on a daily basis
Sitting here in my comfortable recliner, watching a romantic Christmas movie on TV. A warm drink sitting next to me, my wife sitting in her recliner blanket covering her, cat curled in her lap. Our corgi lay curled at the end of the couch, Our Christmas tree light are beautiful this year. My thankfulness overflows. This year so many people are suffering with COVID 19 and we have have been spared. I have books that surround me. My business is just starting and it keeps me busy. Sewing facemasks and trivets and aromatherapy bags as well as making my jewelry has been such a wonderful outlet for my creativity. Being disabled and in chronic pain, having my own creative business lets me work on my own schedule and in my own time. I am so grateful. MN can be cold and I am blessed to have a wonderful apartment in a community of people who have all been through something and survived. I am lucky to have someone who is so patient and loving and kind as my wife Mitzi. She not only has to deal with my PTSD and dissociation as well as my physical issues and she does it like a champ. Yes she can get a little grumpy, but she always takes care of me. Christmastime is a time when a lot of people think about how grateful they are. All of these things I'm grateful for were here before Christmas and will be here after and that's why I'm truly grateful.
