I once lost an eye. It rolled out of sight. I was very sad it was gone, Looking for it took very long. The eye was my everything, And it suddenly went missing. I looked through the bushes and the leaves, But there wasn't something I could see. I almost gave up looking for my eye, But then I bumped into a guy. He said, "Excuse me miss, is this your eye?" I smiled and said, "Yes, Thank you, it is mine!" I was grateful to see my eye, but then he asked, "Where is my Prize?" I asked, "What do you mean, where is my prize?" He said, "A prize for finding your eye!" (Line Count: 15 lines) |
Nothing Gold Can Stay ~ Robert Frost.  Nothing gold can stay. Not even for another day. The leaf that woke up on its head, Told the hour to turn back instead. However, when the leaf looked at the clock, He didn't realize he was mocked. His golden strands have gone astray. Everybody laughed, "Hooray!"
