Lol I think wisdom is knowing what to do with the knowledge and information you currently have. It is being able to learn new things and the ability to apply it to real life situations. That is what I think. Wisdom isn’t always waiting and hoping. Sometimes wisdom is also taking action at the right time appropriately. We can wait and hope for things that will not happen. That may not exactly be wise. . Do you believe love is eternal and destined? If so, why do most people find their true love in their hometown? Wow! That was an awesome poem. I was a bit surprised to see the Biblical quotes at the bottom. This sounds to me like someone who may believe in reincarnation, the poem itself that is. I certainly did not expect the biblical twist. These are interesting thoughts, however. I do believe in soulmates. I don't believe we are eternal like God. We were created. We have a beginning. However, I do believe that our souls can live eternally from here on out. Man did not become a living soul until God breathed the breath of life into him. If love was destined, why do we sometimes get it wrong? Indeed, there are infinite endings” Louise Glück What do you think of endings, and why do they hurt, sometimes? Everything changes. They also say that all good things must come to an end. In reality, everything seen is temporary. People die. Plants die. Animals die. Clothes and other items get old and decay. The earth itself ages and changes. According to the Bible, even earth will come to an end. I think endings hurt sometimes because of the finality of the ending. As an example, even those of us who believe in life after death, are saddened when a loved one dies even if we think they are now in a better place or state. We are sad because we know we will never see them again as long as we continue to live. Parting is such sweet sorrow. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have been on a sort of extended leave for both illness and class. At Regent University, where I am a student, the class changes every eight weeks. In other words, we do 16 weeks of work in 8 weeks. My Pneumatology class just officially kicked off last week, but it populated on Blackboard two weeks ago. I try to get everything done quickly, since it is pretty much learn at your own pace. I never know when I am going to be deployed for a disaster. If I am deployed I would be gone for two weeks. Missing two weeks of graduate school would mean taking an F. So I get through the main work quickly. I am now three weeks ahead of schedule so I can relax a little. A lot of my letters to God are personal. I have a folder I keep them in. Sometimes they are long and sometimes they are short. Here is one for today. Help me to feel better physically so I can do all the things I need to do. Give me the strength and energy I will need. Help me to eat the right things so that I can live healthier. I still felt his presence. I found a butterfly wing just laying on top of the grass yesterday when I took the dog out. One of the spots on the wing was shaped in a heart. It was as though God was reaffirming his love for me and letting me know he was pleased with me. I needed it. In theory, I would much rather write about reality in my blog rather than fiction. However, I hope my blog is still anticipated. Take UP Your Cross Prompt 1: Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Have I dumped all of my emotions and worries on God? Do I trust him to handle all of my problems? Answer: When I was young and my dad didn't want to hear what I had to say, “He told me to go tell God about it.” So that is exactly what I did. I often wondered what it would be like when he stood before God and had to deal with all those things then with God. Now I am saddened by that thought. Did I really want my dad to face God's wrath? No, I wanted him to love me for who I was and to care about how I felt. I wanted his love, attention, and affection. Obviously, I didn't always get that. I would get slapped around, held against the wall by a choke hold without my feet touching the floor, and held down and hit repeatedly. I would get verbally put down too. I share this story because I hope it will help someone else. If you are a dad who does this to your kids, please stop. If you are the one being abused, I hope you are able to get out of that situation somehow. If not, please don't lose hope. There is a God who sees and cares about you. He is able to deliver you at the right time and is able to turn your sorrows into joy. It may not be in your timing or how you think it should happen, but there is a time and good purpose for everything. Yes, I talk to God about everything. I have spent many nights crying out to him. I love the song, “For Those Tears I Died”. I could say it is a personal testimony for me. The statistics said that over 58% of Christians do not believe in Holy Spirit. Of those who do believe 34% believe He is subordinate to Jesus and God, maybe the boss of angels or something. An addition percentage believe His is simply the power of God. What is Holy Spirit to you? Answer: I believe the Holy Spirit is just as much God as Jesus the Son and God the Father. I believe he is our helper. He is the God in us and for us and with us. Humans have body, soul, and spirit. We are made in the image of God. Our spirit is just as much a part of us as our body and our soul. They are just 3 very different parts with 3 very different roles. My thoughts are, God the soul, Jesus with his bride the body, and the Holy Spirit as the spirit. Write about this in your Blog entry today. Resilient and hopeful are good. As long as our hope is in God and not in our fantasies or temporary things, we have true hope. Our hope is secure in Jesus Christ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ and What's the most prominent sensation your body is feeling right now? Where is it and how does it feel? I think my most prominent feeling is emotional at the moment. I just had to pick my elderly neighbor up from a fall this morning. It is probably her 5th or 6th fall in the last 3 weeks. I am concerned about her. The fall before this one, she broke her nose and everything in her face shifted to the right. She has to see an oral surgeon. Her face is all swollen and bruised. Her legs seem to be getting weaker. I don't want to betray her trust, but we may have to call her daughter to let her know everything that's going on.

| Apparently, I am really not in a great mood to write right now. I am still answering the prompts rather I want to or not. I am just overly tired I think which has put me in a grumpy mood. Hopefully, I don't sound too harsh. I have been taking care of my elderly neighbor and her dog in addition to my roommate and our dog. I am worn out. My elderly neighbor keeps falling and this last time, her face broke her fall. She has daughters. Two of them live out of state. One lives in the same state. However, she seems to act like it is a bother for her or her husband to do anything for her mother. Plus, her mother is quite stubborn. I just can not leave her unattended like that. It is not in my nature to do so. She needs help. So I am helping her even though she technically is not my responsibility. 😔 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Am I shaming myself or believing that grace isn't enough? Am I holding onto guilt after I have confessed my sins to God and know I have been forgiven? Answer: Sometimes I do struggle with forgiving myself when I know that God has forgiven me. I have to work to let go of that guilt. Today has been busy, and I am really not in the mood to write about a murder mystery. I do believe I can do it. I am just tired and don’t really want at the moment. Am I worshiping God or complaining to God? What attitude am I bringing my requests to God with? Answer: This is an area I need to work on. I do worship. Don't get me wrong, but I catch myself complaining at times. I have to ask God to give me the right perspective. I ask him to renew a right heart within me. To some extent, we have to be able to bring our complaints before God, but we really have to examine our hearts when we do so. We don't want to complain against God or against his anointed ones like the children of Israel did in the wilderness. Am I paying too much attention to what people think of me Instead of what God thinks? What do you think God thinks of you? Does it matter what other people think? Answer: As far as I know I am not. I know God sees me as his child. I am fully covered in the blood of Christ. God sees the blood of Jesus and then he sees me. I hope I will hear that he is well pleased with me when I die and go to meet him. To a point, it matters what others think. We are supposed to be witnesses for Christ. If we do wrong or don't have a good reputation, it can hurt our witness and ability to see other people saved. Most summer vacations in my teenage years were spent at Falls Creek Baptist Church Camp. They had 5 weeks of it. I would go one week with one church and go another week with another church. I loved it because it got me away from home for a while. One year, I went 3 weeks in a row. I would also go and spend a week with my Dad's brother and his wife for a week. My aunt would send me back home with new clothes for the next school year.

I have a lot of friends, but I only have a few close friends that know my secrets. They are the ones I really lean on when times are hard. My roommate and I have been best friends for over 20 years. She is the person that probably knows more about me than anyone else. She and I have been through some of the toughest times of our lives together. I also talk to my cousins and I have one neighbor that I trust really well. I am still working to develop that fellowship at church. This held my attention. Somebody said to get a real job, and they finally took it literally. 😃 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Your stranded on a desert island, what's more important your five favorite books or five favorite foods or five favorite outfits ? My favorite five books are the most important to me. As long as I have food to eat and clothes to wear I am fine. The books give me something to do. The most important book in my life is the Bible, and I think I would feel lost without it.
