~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These stories were all written for Black Harvest Flash Fiction Horror Contest. No story of mine ever won, but at the end, I was awarded that incredible plaque. I was amazed and delighted. Note Horror Fans: I'm trying to write horror, but sometimes the stories come out looking more like comedies. I hope you see the humor in them. If you are looking for stories with real gore or real violence or real HORROR, probably don't bother reading mine. I had a great time writing these stories, but I am not a violent person and cannot write violence. If you want to be amused, and enjoy variety, read on. P.S. In this contest, I found out that it's much harder than I thought to write horror! LOL In fact, for me, it was impossible. P.P.S. Please leave a comment! My Selection of Stories: Techno-man A robot informs the sole woman onboard a spaceship that she does not have the choices she thought she had. (Almost horror.) The Chilter When a pet is pure evil . . . (I thought it was horror . . .) Gore Was Everywhere The gore of her skirt tore and the night grew bloodier . . . (All right, so I lapsed into having a good time!) Natalie and the Vampire A Stephen King look-a-like named Natalie meets up with a vampire. Who will win? (Playful, but admittedly not yet horror.)Caution: This is sexually explicit. Motherhood We were asked for a monster, but how much of a monster can a loving mother really be? Elmer P. Loren He said he was coming back, and he did. But his revenge wasn't sweet. Under the Bed and Then . . . When a vampire moves his coffin bed, he gets exactly what he deserves. The Teacher How much can a teacher take before she avenges her harassers? Dragon Breath A princess must be courageous when she is sacrificed for the good of the village, even when it means waiting for the dragon who will be dining on her flesh. The Beast That Gnawed The Black Harvest Flash Fiction Horror Contest has now demanded my death. I have carried it out with absolute horror, but they will still probably not like my sad tale because although I die in dreadful pain, there is no gore, violence, or profanity. Casting Stones She was a Christian until the town's abuse went beyond her limits to endure. When they killed her cat, she went back to the old ways and to revenge. Death by Self Murder This prompt called for a story without using the letter "i" and under 800 words. I failed, but this is the corrected version. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
