These are the columns I wrote for: The World Around Us. |
It is with the deepest sadness that I say goodbye to The World Around Us. It has crashed. An unhappy reader destroyed its foundation. Just one person's attack began the fall, and by the next day, the walls had all collapsed; thus, is an e-zine destroyed. I spent so many hours developing the following columns, stories and poems. Very few people ever looked inside; almost none of them reviewed, yet for more than a year, I developed an Outer Space Bound and a How to Write Poetry month after month. I suppose our efforts to provide children with stories, poems and opportunities to write will not be missed. It was just another endeavor that fell into the dust. How sad when people have dreams that erode. I will leave this here for a while. Maybe someone will visit. Maybe not, but it hurts too much to close it down today. I wish someone had cared. No smiles for a while, Shaara No longer S T A R R I N G theworldaroundus.net For a peek at what once was: see the following collection of Outer Space Bound and How to Write Poetry Many columns have already been deleted. Sigh. Also, please forgive me if an image is gone. I have had to delete several of those, also.
I hope you enjoy what you see. Please drop me an e-mail. I'd love to hear your thoughts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
