Sometimes, those pranks take it too far, I agree. Then, as you said, "On April Fools Day, if someone says something you question, it is April Fool," which makes us be wary of every move or word. Feeling uncertain is not a good feeling at all.
Nice entry and yes, I too did think of the Carpenters' song. Except rainy days do not "get me down." Maybe Mondays, once in a while, but I do like rainy days if they don't become too many rainy days in a row.
Like you, I never liked driving on the snow either, especially when it accumulated over ice.

To tell the truth, I would guessed 50 or 60 thoughts per hour. I don't know where they came up with 3000. It might just be that most of those thoughts popped up on their own or were working in the back of our minds.
