About my journey with my grandmother
[Introduction]
I miss my grandmother. The blanket she had weaved for me brings back memories of her during my younger days. During my younger days, I see her grey hair turns to white. Those times to have her visiting my parents’ house are my happiest moment in life. Her gentleness, care and patience attract me the most. Her presence brings warmth and peace through trials and tribulations of life. She doesn’t let the world to break her; instead she emerges into the most loving person whom I wish to stay together. Whenever I see those who have grandparents stay with them, they are fortunate. Oh, I wish to speak and listen to my grandmother. Entertaining such thoughts to have my husband’s mother and my parents stay together, unexpectedly, the result is disastrous. My son is blessed to have grandmother whom he always goes to. He often runs to her for love, shelter and gifts.

She takes care of my diet during my pregnancy, after I deliver my son’s birth, and throughout his lifetime. Therefore, my son grows up strong and full of energy. She knows the best diet for infants, children and adult. And she also learns through her mistakes. Mistakes don’t stop her from learning new things. She admits her mistakes, corrects herself and shares to her children not to repeat the same mistakes. These remind me of the Bible in Proverbs16:30-32 and 28:12-14 and 1 Corinthians 10:1-13.

Though now is a different era, there are timeless issues that can not be neglected. It is the love and truth that the Bible shows of God’s love upon mankind who often sins against Him. In the Bible, God shows the importance to please Him is to fear Him (Proverbs 1:7) out of reverence of His holiness in our attitudes, mindsets and actions. Joseph depicted a life of integrity in his attitude when he worked for his master (Potiphar) in Genesis 39:9. He fears God and did his best to flee from temptation. Let us flip to our Bible to leave a great legacy to our children and future generations.
