Reploids have taken over the world, and most of the Maverick Hunters have disappeared.

Sunlight glistened from the steel streets as shimmering, flashing lights vied against the sun's amber rays for visual supremacy. Several pedestrians trotted along the sides of steel, glass, and plastic buildings. Silver, circular objects resembling Frisbees flew through the air with the speed of bullets. Thin, sparkling, curly strands of auburn hair partially obstructed the green irises of a woman holding her mouth and grasping her cheeks. A gentleman knelt in front of her with a sparkling diamond inside of a small box extended toward her. Streams of tears cascaded down the sides of her face before an explosion replaced a building with a fiery billow. A small pile of gray, smoldering ash replaced the couple pledging lifetime dedication to each other, mere seconds ago.

Screams erupted from running people as they scattered throughout streets like leaves blown by winds. A small glint shimmered from several hundred feet in the air before it descended. The glint became a large, blue figure, shaking the ground like an earthquake, shattering the street upon its impact. The figure glared around itself from the face of a man, but its twenty-foot frame reflected the lights around it with its steel, azure encasement surrounding it like skin. Several vehicles plowed through the crowd like a lawnmower through grass, crashed into buildings, and burst into flames in its attempt to avoid the figure.

Several people began running before another fiery billow replaced the fleeing crowd with charred ash as black smoke ascended from their smoldering remains. The remaining witnesses of the slaughter trembled with bulged eyes as they pressed their backs and palms against the hot walls of the steel buildings without worrying about their current discomfort. The figure's red, diamond-shape marks encompassed its eyes upon its face as it stared at the world through blue scleras without any pupils. The figure had its arm pointed in the direction of the smoldering lot with black vapor rising from the canon at the end of its wrist.

People began kneeling and pleading with their eyes to the steel being standing over them before a wall of flames engulfed them with a wicked laugh rising from the figure.

Many black and brown soles of dress shoes tapped the red carpet of The House's floor as many representatives flip through the vanilla folders containing documents and pictures of the most recent slaughter. The whispers and mumbles rose throughout the floor until the doors to the entrance flew open. Several men in black suits enveloped another gentleman as they walk toward the elevated platform, seating several people with the U.S. flag draped vertically behind it.

The group of men forming the entourage created an opening within the crowd as the guarded politician approached the podium. Silence filled the room like smoke as the rustle of standing people temporarily reverberated throughout the room. He remained standing while the shifting of moving clothes echoed throughout as people sat. The Speaker of the House began to announce the entrance of the President of the United States until the Commander in Chief fully stretched his arms to his sides and slowly lowered them as they remained vertical. Gasps resounded throughout the Chamber of Commerce as they complied with his nonverbal command. The Commander in Chief stood behind the podium of the rostrum. He removed the handkerchief from upper, front, right pocket of his blazer and wiped the clear fluid saturating his forehead. He cleared his throat:

"I am not here to bask in the glory accompanying the position I am now currently occupying. This is not a time for applause or revelry. The blood of our children is painting the streets of our various metropolises. The threat we have now is considered the worst ever experienced upon our shores or has been harvest upon our own land. It is time we act to destroy all robotic citizens with extreme prejudice. There is no other alternative. If we do not deactivate and destroy these mechanical monstrosities, we will be extinct by the time the sun rises upon our land, again. For those of you who possess household robots and servants, they need to be destroyed, immediately. Anyone found harboring or retaining such a being or machine will be addressed and treated as a traitor. This is not open for negotiation. There is no reason for these things to terrorize us. We created the robots! We should be able to dismiss them. The Army, National Guard, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard are all monitoring last known manufacturing plants for all of these weapons of mass destruction. They are being deployed to destroy these facilities, immediately. Those that have been successfully shut down are being used to create vehicles that are capable of decimating iron anomalies into molten metal. I have set Amendment X into order with congressional approval. We will not be victims, especially not by anything we created."

One clap echoed throughout the room until it was followed by several applauding men and women filling the previously silent void with echoic clapping and cheers. The Commander in Chief smiled until room steadily shook. People began crawling under the tables, and others grasped the furniture from its sides and tops. A tower of flames ripped through the congressional floor before a laughter preceded the blaze's falter. A twelve-foot silhouette began walking from the center of the dying flame. A missile launcher sat upon it left shoulder, and its single, crimson eye burned through a shadowy veil beneath its helmet.

A raspy, echoic voice reverberated throughout the room until everyone heard it:

"Any attempt to move will immediately result in your destruction. You might regard me as the epitome of your end, but it would be easier to call me Vile. I am here to deliver a message to humanity. Do not bother pleading for mercy because your time has expired."
