Twelve humans summoned by the gods and goddesses of the planets.... 5 more places!!
[Introduction]
Timnhue, the god of stars paced in the darkness of the universe. Beside him lay the astrological structures of the universes beyond his. Beside the structures, a frantic letter from the Godess of Bejuwel, the universe to the right of Timnhue's. She called for help from his stars for her universe was being invaded by the Devellions. The Devellions were a band of 'Dark Stars' from the lower universe. Hades's sons ruled over the Devellions. There are five Devellions, and though they are few in numbers, they are strong. Timnhue summoned up his stars. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. All twelve stood in a circle around Timnhue in a second and bowed graciously.
"Stars," he began gravely, "the Godess of Bejuwel has asked for my help in saving their Universe. I chose you twelve, for you are my strongest fighters. Now, do you remember the seed that all of you planted on the planet Earth? We chose Earth because it was the place least possible for destruction. We decided to grow our seedlings there, for in the future, they will go to you to help you defend your star whenever needed. Now, summon your seedlings for they will be grown up and in full power now, gather them all into one spot and transmit them to the planet Koroal. Planet Koroal is the third planet from the Demor in Bejuwel. Now go! Bejuwel needs help immediately."
With that, the twelve gods and goddesses disappeared, each one already starting to probe into the minds of the humans they had given powers to on Earth. Summoning them and calling to them to one particular spot on Earth...
The basic story line is that twelve babies were planted as seedlings for the stars. 17 years later, they are needed to defend a universe not their own. They have powers and abilities, and they should know them very well. Their gods or godess summoned them to one spot where they meet, and are transmitted to the planet Koroal where the Devellions are attacking. Once there, they must fight the Devellion hunters and if they escape to other planets, they must follow them and hunt them down.

Just letting you all know, your opposite sign means you don't get along with them... Oh yeah and all of you have a Symbol that was tattooed to your body. For example, mine is the crab. That's all!

Emmie had stepped onto the hot sandy shore when the first wave of dizziness swept over her. She crumpled to the ground as the second took her over. She heard two sets of voices calling to her. One boomed over the others.

Emmie Telorn, I need you now, we need you. Go... Go..

As the voice faded, the other voices became clearer.

"Emmie! Oh my god... Emmie! Wake up! Please!"

Emmie opened her green-gray eyes and looked around, dazed. With a start, she realized her best friend crouched beside her, worried, and a group of people behind her with concerned looks on their faces. Emmie stood up quickly and shook out the sand from her brown wavy hair.

"What happened?" Her friend Becky asked.

"I don't know... I guess it was the sun and everything," Emmie lied. Besides, Becky wouldn't believe her if she said a voice needed to talk to her so she had to faint.

"Well, make yourself feel better because Luke Briant is coming this way. You have to talk to him Emmie! He's been hitting on you for weeks! The roses, the chocolates, I mean, he's laying it on! You've got him wrapped around your little finger but you say you're too shy!" Becky hissed.

"Hi Becky, hi Emmie. I saw you fall, are you okay?" He asked.

Emmie looked down at her green sandals and then looked up, straight into his eyes. She was angry at him, for all the presents. Didn't he know she cared nothing for him? Or... Maybe she did.

"I'm fine. I tripped. Please, leave me alone." Emmie said, turning and walking away from his crestfallen face.

Becky caught up to her, her face distorted with anger.
"Emmie! Why did you do that! You are mean, and cruel! The least you could have done was stayed silent!"

Tears sprang up in Emmie's eyes. "You're right you know Becky? Maybe I'll just disappear. Leave for a while. This town's eating me up and I need a break."

"You can't just disappear! You're seventeen! What, are you going to drive to California or something?"

"That's exactly what I'm going to do." Emmie said.

"Do you think your parents would agree to this??" Becky exclaimed.

"No, but when they find out, I'll be long gone." Emmie said, her point final.

The nagging in her head ceased, if even for a moment. The thought of driving out, alone. That was a crazy idea but it seemed great to her. Yes. Tomorrow, she was going to leave taking 700 dollars she had saved up and she was going to drive out to California. What to do once she was there, she had no idea.

Emmie was confused. She didn't think she knew this girl yet she got this strange feeling. She was already far away from her hometown Burnaska. She didn't think that anybody she knew would be this far from the town. But still.... Emmie suddenly caught sight of an astrological sign on the girl's left arm. It was of the virgin.

"Did you... When did you get that tattoed onto your arm?" Emmie asked.

"I didn't, I've had it since I was little." The girl replied. "Why?"

Without a word, Emmie turned to show her her left arm. On it, the astrological sign on the crab.

"I'm Malia," the girl said. Emmie nodded, she already knew thought she didn't know how.

"You're Emmie." The girl continued.

"Why did you come to this diner Malia?" Emmie asked.

"I.. Got this strange feeling, and a message came to me. It said "Malia Clayton, I need you, we need you, come to us, go now, go...". But then I thought I was just hungry and imagining it so I came here... How about you?"

"Me, I got the exact same message except with my name it it... I just couldn't get this nagging in my head to go somewhere. I suddenly got very angry and crazy to do something so I decided to drive out to California when my car broke down here."

There was a long silent pause, which was broken by the waitress waiting for their orders. Emmie asked for a cup of coffee and Malia for a lunch special. Emmie watched Malia eat as she sipped her coffee.

"So, it seems like fate lead us together. I don't know where I'm going but it sure isn't going back. Want to come?" Malia said in between bites.

"Hell, why not?" Emmie said, grinning. This was going to be an exciting adventure, and she won't see her hometown for a while.

Questions without answers tumbled around in Emmie's head as she frowned in deep thought. How, can 3 teens just... End up meeting each other? How is that possible? All of them mysteriously having the same sort of sign on their arms. Almost, as if fate... But Emmie didn't believe in fate. She looked up and suddenly noticed the guy. She frowned, trying to remember something.

"What was your name again?" She asked after a failed attempt of memory.

"Bryan." He answered.

"Oh right... Bryan... Why did you come to this diner?"

"Uhh... I dunno, I just... Decided to go to California..?" He ended in a question.

There was silence as Emmie thought again. So, it seemed as if something or someone was driving them together to... Where? California? It would be a long trip there, and a long road trip that is. Plane tickets would cost way too much so they will have to go on care.

"Okay. Oh yeah, Malia this is Bryan vice versa. This is what we're going to do. I don't know why, how, or what this stupid fate is trying to tell us but something is pushing me to listen to the little annoying voice in my head. SO. I think we should set off to the great Cali like we were condemned to do. But, together we shall go. Actually I have no choice but to ride with one of you anyways."

Emmie closed her eyes and tried to sleep. She had been driving through a day and a night before her car had broken down near the diner. However, she was much too restless and worried forsleep. She knew she must look like a mess. Her hair which she had tied back now tumbled around her shoulders as she stared dismally at her broken elastic. Though she never wore make-up there must surely still be streaks from her tears of despair. She sighed. Oh well, she was sure if all three of her friends were meant to meet, then she was meant to look horrid... wait a minute, what am I thinking?? Maybe I'm going crazy, I don't believe in fate! she thought furiously to herself. She glared quietly at the dashboard, her mood quickly turned sour. Bryan noticed her change of mood and started a conversation.

"So, where are your parents?" He asked in a friendly tone.

"Home." Emmie said, barely listening.

"You must miss them," he said.

Emmie let out a laugh, him having her full attention now. "Hardly," she said bitterly humorously.

"Oh... Well, be happy you have parents." Bryan said quietly.

"Oh I'm sorry..." Emmie said, suddenly feeling sad. A tear slipped down her cheek and she wiped it off before he would notice. He noticed anyway.

"Why are you sad?" He asked bewilered, after all, he should be the sad one.

Emmie smiled through a fresh flow of tears. "Just the irony... You wish you had parents and.. I wish I didn't. You never had parents and you hated it, and I've always had parents and I've hated it. My father, see, is one of the biggest drug dealers and my mother, well, she's one of the biggest drug addicts I've ever known. They don't notice if I'm gone for a week. When I am there my father tries to make me sell some fake drugs. I've gotten shot so many times I can't count the number of times I've walked myself to the hospital with a bullet lodged in my leg. Nobody knows how it is at home and I don't know how it is at the other people's home. I think I'll stop blabbing now because I feel like I want pity and that's one thing that won't stop my tears. Self-pity is the worst thing," Emmie said, smiling a bit and wiping away the last of her tears.

When they stopped at Count McGrowney the next morning, Emmie stumbled into the bathroom and locked the door behind her. She felt waves of nausea overtake her and she slowly slid down against the wall, curling up. Through was seemed like fazes of unconciousness, she heard the voice again, distinctly clear but fuzzy as if stuck in static.

Emmiele...

The voice kept repeating her name until finally, it left. Emmie knew it would be back. This was not the first time this happened. While one the car, she had heard the voice, over and over, echoing in her mind. Emmie lifted her head, normal for the moment. Her trembling hands found her bag which she shakily opened and pulled out a change of clothes. They drove through night stopping only for bathroom breaks and for gas. Emmie's head pounded and only one thing to soothe her headache. She pulled out a green pack of cigarettes, empty. She tossed it into the garbage can by her side and pulled out another pack which she opened. While she smoked, she reached into her bag again and brought out a bag of weed. Shrugging, she popped them back in her bag. There was a knock on the bathroom door and Emmie got up, opening the door just as she threw her cigarette into the toilet bowl, her lungs having a distinct mint flavour. Malia stood there, a concerned look on her face. Emmie smiled with what she thought of as an innocent look. It didn't help much, she smelt it anyway.

"I'm just going to change," Emmie said.

Malia nodded and then looked as if she wanted to say something. Emmie waited. Malia's face split into a wide friendly grin.

"What kind?" She asked.

Emmie smiled back, "Craven, Menthol." She replied.

After Emmie changed into a pair of shorts and a pink midriff cutoff t-shirt, she went out to join her friends. She saw them talking heatedly and she turned to the direction they were looking at. A girl stood at the Wendy's counter looking calm and collected, an ordinary girl waiting for her food... Right? Wrong. Through her open-backed halter top, a tattoo was visible on her back. Bow and arrows, sign of the archer. As Emmie walked closer to Malia and Bryan, they spotted her and nodded meaningfully at the girl. Emmie nodded, indicating she had noticed. Emmie walked up to the girl and looked into her eyes, searching for something familiar. She found the same kind of bond, as if they were meant to meet and as if they were meant to journey together. The girl looked at her, startled. Just then a buck-toothed lady banged a tray with a burger and a drink onto the counter.

"Sit with my friends and I," Emmie suggested, turning around and walking back to her seat without looking back to see if she was following or not.

Emmie's head suddenly snapped up and glared intently at the roof of the car. The gray roof seemed to shiver, and then disappeared leaving Emmie staring dumbfounded at a starry night sky. She heard a distinct sound of a plane and focused on a flashing dot.

"...Emmie? Emmie...?" Somebody said, calling her back and leaving her staring at the gray roof again. She lowered her head and then snapped back to attention when her back tingled, telling her that somebody was looking at her.

Emmie looked at Bryan and he looked back at her and then, after a quick glance at the road, he looked at the car roof.

"There's another one of us." Emmie explained.

"Oh... Where?" Bryan asked looking into a car that had passed us.

Emmie pointed up. Bryan looked at her, confused.

"In a plane."

Bryan nodded but kept his eyes on the road. About 15 minutes later, we entered Los Angelos and Morgan lead the way through the crowded roads.

Adena flipped her auburn hair in its ponytail over her shoulder. Her blue eyes looked down the length of the arrow, centering towards the bottom and left of the target. She steadied her bow arm, the hand drawing the string touching the corner of the her mouth. All in one moment, she let her fingers go, the arrow shot from the bow with a delightful thwip and buried itself in the target with a thunk.

"Bullseye," she said softly to herself. She took another arrow out of the quiver on her back and nocked it, drawing the string back to the corner of her mouth. She centered the tip of the arrow- Adena... we need you, Adena.... we need you...

The arrow flew and hit the wall to the left of the target. She stared at it angrily. She hadn't missed the target in years... her eyes widened slightly as she saw where it had landed. Her parents had let her set up her target in the garage, which didn't give her a long range, but it was all she had... her father had had a map in their garage for as long as she could remember, though she had no idea why. As she looked at the arrow, she realized that it was buried in L.A., California...

She scratched the tattoo of the Bull on her left shoulder, exposed by the spaghetti-straps she was wearing, absently. What in the world... All of a sudden she had this overwhelming urge to go to California. And why not?... I'm 19, I should be living on my own by now, not with my parents...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That night saw Adena in a cab, on the way to Midway Airport, to catch a plane for L.A. She had only 2 suitcases, one a carry-on. The other was full of clothes, mostly, and a hairbrush, toothbrush, and rubberbands for her hair. That was about it. Nothing fancy for her. In her carry-on were some books for the flight, paper and pens for writing or drawing, her CD player and CD's.
An hour later, she was having an argument with a security guard.
"What do you mean, I can't take a longbow on the plane? I don't have any arrows, they know that, my suitcase went through the metal-thingy."
"Miss, you can't-"
"Why not?! All it is is a piece of curved wood with a bowstring, designed, not for killing- well it is, but you get the point- but for target practice and competitions. I paid 500 bucks for this thing! I'm not leaving it behind."
"You have to,-"
"I refuse to-"
"MISS!"
"What?"
"You have to put it in cargo. That's all I'm saying."
"Oh. OK." She gave the longbow to whoever was in charge of such things and boarded. "Take care of it, OK? Just- don't let anything happen to it."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4 hours later, Adena was walking into the terminal at the airport in L.A., whatever it was called. She looked around after she got her luggage- and her longbow!- and felt kind of lost.

"Now what?..." Suddenly she felt that something was very wrong. Someone- someone she should've met here- no, a few someones- had been here, but now, they were gone.

"Flaming bloody..." she looked around forlornly. Now what?... She started to walk towards the exit, ignoring the looks she got from most of the guys in the airport. She was used to them. Now she had to find these people- but where the hell were they?

OOC: Eep, you guys left me. :*( Well I don't know what you want to do but she'll find you somehow, I guess. ^ ^ Sry it was so long...
Aren stared blankly ahead at the Japanese garden of sand and rock, looking at the tiny ripples of sand. They spread around the rocks like waves of a frozen sea. He sat on the tallest rock, concentrating on meditating. Then, a vision came into his head, and words burned the sand.

         Aren Dalna, I need you, we need you, come to us, go now, to our placeā€¦

         His arm throbbed where his birthmark of Capricorn stood. Aren shook his head, ridding himself of his trance. He rubbed his arm and looked at the sand, and saw that no words were burned on the sand. But an afterimage lingered in his eyes: we need you...

         Aren jumped off his rock, and catapulted across the sand as he landed, leaving footprints where he treaded. He ran through the monastary, his barefeet making no sound on the stone floors. Then he saw his grandfather, a monk at this establishment, walking across burning coals. Aren waited as patiently as he could, for the slightest noise could distract him and make him lose his concentration.

         Upon reaching the otherside of the coal bed, Aren's grandfather immediately spoke. "Something troubles you, Aren San. What makes you search me out?"

         "Grandfather, I had a vision. It told me to go somewhere to help, but I don't know where to go."

         "Search your mind, Aren San. Where does you soul tell you to go?"

         Aren closed his eyes, searching his conscious for the answer. Across the sea his mind led him, to the country of his birth, to... "California. I must go to California. In America."

         His grandfather chuckled slightly. "I knew one day you would return there. For though you are Japanese in skin, you are American at heart. You must prepare. You leave tonight."

                             *                              *                              *

         Aren walked confidently out of the plane. He had made it to America. He was very excited about his new clothes: a traditional high-necked button-down dark grey shirt, with intricate designs of red dragons along the sleeves. His black silk leggings were very comfortable, but very traditional as well. He looked around, almost expectant to find somone there. But he saw no one he recognized.

         Then he saw them. Two girls talking angrily to one another. They both had tattoos like him: one Taurus, the other Aquarius. He walked up to them, his birthmark itching nervously.

Emmie suddenly clasped her fingers together, her eyes wide with shock. Jay looked at her, looking worried.

"We have to get back to the airport! The others... Are waiting for us." Emmie gasped. Only after rigidly sitting in her car seat, waiting for the care to quickly U-turn back towards the airport did she let out her air and slump back down into her seat.

Emmie felt as if all her energy had been sucked out of her. She felt tired. She noticed the others' cars had followed theirs and now they were all heading towards the airport.

Adena nodded. She did, yes... it was weird, that feeling. But then again, this whole thing was weird. She didn't know there were more people like her. If there was anything special about them...

OOC: Sorry, have to go.
(remember, your opposite sign is the one you don't get along with...)

Emmie stared at the boy Aren for a long moment before turning her eyes to the two girls. There was a thick connection with all of them. Something more than the weird tattooed birthmarks... A special bond. However, Emmie felt different from this guy Aren. Emmie glanced at him and found him glaring back.

"Would you stop looking at me, please," he said quietly, with only a hint of anger in his voice.

Emmie didn't reply and looked away. She saw Jay running and nodded towards him, inclining to the others that they should follow. Emmie dashed ahead and when she finally caught up, she asked, "What are we doing?".

"I don't know yet, but do all of you have that tingly feeling?" He asked, running faster.

Emmie frowned a bit.

"The only thing I'm feeling right now is exhaustion and shortness of breath," Emmie gasped.

Adena walked down the hall towards the last room, passing Jay on the way. All of a sudden she felt that she just didn't like him... but this was bad. If they were there for some purpose, how would they get anything done if everyone started disliking other people?

OOC: Sorry, have like 3 other things to write...
I'm sorry.. I'm tired
