A campfire unlike any other...enter and discover 'Dragon Rights'
[Introduction]
DRAGON RIGHTS

The world was destroyed by dragons and wizards, the war of Dragon Rights brought humankind to their knees and destroyed life on earth. Now, out of the ashes and smoke rise the most powerful, some struggling with guilt and attempting to rebuild and restore, others longing to dominate those who remain. Who are you?

Now, you choose two characters at least, one human, one dragon. The human and dragon don't have to share the same desires for the future. The point is that the wizard owned the 'Dragon Rights' to the dragon you pick. Choose wisely because their characters are set in stone and cannot easily be changed.

DRAGONS

DragonWrites~The Fire Faerie~ Dark Reign ~ A fierce black dragon. He is the main cause of the death and destruction that befell humankind. The largest and strongest of all dragons, Dark Reign desires the 'throne' that is rightfully his. He has massive claws, inpenetrable scales and acid fire breath. His eyes are red, each of his wings are larger than most dragons total wingspans. He is glad that the weaker beings have been destroyed.

Crystal Shard ~ A cruel and calculating ice dragon. Her blue scales reflect the heat and are cold as ice. She seeks solitude but finds herself caught up on intrigue and games. The second most powerful kind of dragon with the ability to freeze creatures with her ice breath or spray deadly ice darts. Crystal wishes to be left to wallow in the despair she feels in the land of ash but she can't resist being involved in the power struggles that arise admist the dragons. Her eyes are yellow and her wings small and unimpressive.

aquarius50 Crimson Roare ~ A red fire dragon. He doesn't have the advantage of acid fire but he is still deadly. His red scales are strong and small, not large like the blue and black dragons. His guilt consumes him as he struggles to comprehend the reasons behind the destruction. Unknown to others, Crimson Roare has at least two of his 'Dragon rights' and understands the process to obtain more. This makes him powerful, despite his size. He is the smallest of the surviving dragons.

pandoras_box Mourning Sunne ~ A medium sized golden dragon. During the war, gold dragons were used as carriers and messangers, their golden scales blinding the enemy and preventing them from easily being attacked. Mourning was used in battle. She is the only golden dragon to possess the power of teleportation and fire. She lingers on the borders of the lands and destroys all who come near her. She isn't proud of her part in the final battle but she managed to save the green dragon from destruction. Mourning wants to right her wrongs but knows she cannot. Her wingspan is small, her body thin to accomidate her purpose in existence. All golden dragons have green eyes and slender bodies, their scales are medium sized and as hard as metal.

sparles Writhing Marsh ~ A green dragon of good size and good disposition. Has fire breath but hesitates on using it. The final battle would have been this dragon's end had it not been for Mourning. Writhing Marsh has gray eyes and a broad wingspan to a good sized body. His tail is deadly, with spikes protruding from the end. He remains loyal and regrets all that has occured.

Silent Elmme ~ This is the one dragon that can be anything. A brown dragon with blue eyes and fire breath. It is good sized but not gigantic. Has a fair sized wingspan and is perfect for travelling and flying. This dragon is the most elusive. It is up to you to decide the part he played in the battle, what 'Dragon rights' he possesses and what he wants now.

WIZARDS
NOTE: Once you have chosen your wizard and dragon, the wizard's color will change to match the dragon's and they will assume the dragon's last name.

The only information for now is the name, sex and main powers and possesions. You are responsible for telling me what they look like, their age, additional powers, weapons and intent. You will email me these things when you accept the invitation and I will add them to the main character.

pandoras_box NAME: Eternelle Sunne
AGE: 23
SEX: Female
POWERS: Mainly a hand wizard, which means she casts most of her spells by weaving them with her hands.
APPEARANCE: She has brilliant soft dark eyes and long, corkscrew golden blonde curls that she ties in a rough pony tail to keep away from her face. She dresses in mostly riding attire, tight, golden-scaled pants and a fitted, narrow-strapped black top. She does not dress laborately as the other wizards do. Her appearance as a Dragon Racer (which she was before discovering her magic) always gives her the element of surprise.
POSSESSIONS: A magical stone which makes her magic more powerful and her person much harder to attack.

NAME:Dorian
SEX: Male
AGE: Appears to be thirty, actual age is not known
POWERS: A spoken word wizard. He is so fluent that all spells require one word where they would take other wizards a sentence to cast. When casting a spell his eyes turn completely dark, and a oranage luminesence surrounds his body.
POSSESSIONS: A staff of flaming death which can protect him when he is preocupied with spell casting. Also strapped to his thigh is a highly dangerous blade that he uses if someone should be in close range. When flying on his dragon, he uses a scimitar with an arreglur blade.
APPEARANCE: Dorian has short, blond hair with black tips. His almond

POSSESSIONS: A ring of teleportation.

NAME: Eathorod

Dragon Rights

It is very hard to explain what 'Dragon rights' truly are. They are the powers that lay within the dragon's souls, they are what make them living, breathing and powerful. As this campfire continues, we shall begin to email each other and discuss possible 'Dragon rights'.

NOTE FOR FIRST AND SECOND ADDITIONS:

If your Dragon Rights are already known as stated in your character above, you may speak of them, otherwise you will not learn you Dragon Rights until later.

It is important that you lay the foundation of your characters here. Was your dragon always yours? Did it claim you or did you claim it? If the dragon wasn't always yours, did you find it during the battle or after? Did your dragon die or just vanish? And so on. You must delve deeply.

Take your time writing. If you think you may want to add some detail later, just let me know and I will be happy to edit your entry with your added parts. If I feel that you're jumping the gun, I will email you with an edited version of your entry. You can approve it or send me your idea.

Have fun creating your characters and remember to remain true!

Thanks for joining!
DRAGONWRITES

Let's begin.
<Catrina and her dragon Dark Reign>

The sun hasn't risen for days the the sky is too murky for flying so I lay back and watch the great dragon sleep. We haven't been together very long but I feel safe and content beside him.

The fierce black dragon blocks the cavern exit with his bulk. I have no desire to flee but I feel trapped and extremely hot. His body heat causes great discomfort in small areas.

As I fell from the sky that fateful day, I believed myself dead. It was Dark Reign which caught me, extending his claw while in flight and taking hold of me. My golden dragon fell from the sky, her body aflame and her scream the last thing I heard as I faded into darkness.

Dark Reign is the main cause of the death and destruction that befell humankind. I am not angry, just saddened that my golden gift was lost, the power of wealth and enticement, my Dragon Rights, taken from me when my dragon died.

To recall the name of my dragon would be an insult to Dark Reign. I am now Catrina Reign, the dark woman upon the dark dragon. And I am feared.

Dark Reign has not showed me the Dragon Rights he possesses as of yet and I feel slightly betrayed and alone. He is the largest and strongest of all dragons and desires the 'throne' that is rightfully his. I intend to do everything in my power to help him achieve his throne.

I lay back and use my stealth cloak as a pillow. If the rain would stop, if the sun would shine, Dark Reign and I would take to the skies and the Dragon Rights would be mine...if only the rain would stop.

<RoanHart; dragonless and alone>
I lay upon the ground, dry beneath me, for my body protects it from the rain. My dragon is dead and I am wounded.

I have lain here for days, often denying the defeat that came so easily for the just wizards and dragons against the cruelty of the evil. Yet those evil ones did not succeed in their plans either.

I dare not open my eyes for very long else they would be filled with sooty water: rain mixed with ash.

I remember my green dragon so well, her sleek body and her quick thoughts. Yet, I cannot recall her name and thus I am alone. Solitude tears at my heart and soul.

I never saw the blast that took us down, never saw the color of the dragon. I cannot move, the fall from my dragons back rendered me helpless.

I feel my life ebbing away and I will myself to die. Even if I could rise to seek shelter, I doubt I would make it to a safe haven in time. I fight the sorrow as I feel the earth tremble with my helplessness.

"Die, RoanHart. Fade away from this life. All will be well." I say softly, my parted lips allowing the slightest amount of tainted water in. "Die."

The rain ceases to fall upon me yet I still hear its pounding upon the ground. Curious, I open my eyes slowly and see a wing spread over me.

"You shan't die, RoanHart, for I have need of you." Comes the dragon's voice as sleep overtakes me.

<Elbisivni and his dragon Writhing Marsh>

I didn't think it would ever stop raining. The rain had been pouring down since the final battle, and showed no signs of stopping any time soon. Everything around me was dead, there were no longer even distorted thoughts reaching my mind. There was only me, and my dragon Writing Marsh, in this desolate place now.

Writhing Marsh and I had long been together, so long that I couldn't imagine what I would do without my dragon, he was my best friend, my only friend now. The rest of my friends had perished in battle, along with their dragons. I had seen most of them fall. Indeed, had it not been for a golden dragon, Mourning Sunne, Writhing Marsh and I would have perished alongside our comrades.

Now, we were alone again, having no purpose, and all we could do was regret the actions we had taken during the war. Writhing Marsh even more so than I. My gentle dragon's eyes were shawdowed with guilt and regret.

Even now, his large body was stiff with the nightmares I knew haunted his dreams. I had tried to comfort him, offering him my love and loyalty as he had offered his so often in the past. But it seemed like nothing would pull him out of his despair.

Incredibly tired, I lay down next to my green dragon and closed my eyes. Sleep was swift in coming.

<Catrina and her dragon Dark Reign>

The cave is dark and the sizzle of the rain reminds me of my fate. I stretch and sit up, wondering if food is scarce almost the same instant I recall the burning fields and the dark skies.

To my left sits charred meat, left for me by Dark Reign. I am indebted to him...forever...or at least until he tires of me.

I tear into the meat, starving and parched, thinking of gold and sunshine, thinking of a past I do not deserve to relish.

Dark Reign growls and I know he is warning me to leave behind all the joys and sorrows of the past. I sip the fresh water trickling through a crack in the rock and refresh my parched mouth.

"You are thinking too loudly." He murmurs and I start, wondering why he chose to speak aloud rather than use a mind link.

"I apologize." I say.

He ponders this a moment before turning his great head toward me, his red eyes sparking like a raging fire. "I have chosen you to dominate all those that are beneath us. Never apologize."

"Even to you?" I ask as lean back against the cave wall, enjoying it's coolness.

"Especially to me." he says and I frown. "Your dragon is lost and so is your cause. I have given you a second option, not a second chance. To change your name, as you have, means you accept my terms."

"Which are?" I ask.

"Totally destruction." Dark Reign closes his eyes. "The rain will cease to fall soon, Catrina, and you and I shall take to the sky once again."

"Yes." I say as I shut my eyes. "Yes."

"Forget all that has happened before. Dragon Rights are ripe in me...loyalty must be ripe in you."

"Opposed to being indebted." I stated softly.

"Opposed to everything. Only loyalty should course through you. Only loyalty." Dark Reign's voice soothes me.

"Then my loyalty you shall have, oh dark one." I reply and all that remains is the pounding rain and the fierce heat.

<Roanhart and her dragon Crimson Roare>
In my dreams I accept all the dragon tells me, accept all he longs to right.

In truth, I never believed the wrongs could be righted until Crimson whispered in my ear. The promises, the visions, I almost can't breathe when he is showing me.

I can mourn another time for my life will be long, he has assured me of this. I refuse to wake, comforted by his warmth and presence. I believed myself to be damned.

What does a dragon rider have when it's dragon is dead? Nothing. Existence is futile and their soul is forever scarred. Unless...

Unless you are chosen to lead another, chosen to possess Dragon Rights, chosen as I have been. Now, my life has meaning an purpose.

Despite the rain I know still falls, and despite the sorrow deep within my soul, I shall bury my dragon in my heart and move on.

For mankind...I shall move on.
<Catrina and her dragon Dark Reign>

We take to the air in the blinding rain. The heat from the dragon's body warms the rain before it hits me, creating a warm shower that refreshes rather than annoys. I lean foward, bringing Dark Reign into a dive. Even as the ground rushes up to meet us, I shift subtly and enjoy the smoothness with which my dragon responds.

I had forgotten how wonderful it felt to fly, to touch the clouds and to dance among the stars. Although the cloud coverage is thick and the rain is heavy, I feel released, reborn, renewed.

Dark Reign takes us to a mountain top and lands upon the snow. The lower lands flood as the peaks freeze. I feel no cold, only heat from the great beast I ride upon.

"Look at the land, Catrina. Behold the destruction." Dark Reign says.

"Yes...destruction." I murmur as I stare at smoldering ruins that still burn despite the rain. Dragonfire is truly a rare breed of chaos.

'And this is only the beginning." Dark Reign turns his head back to look at me. "Do what is needed, Catrina, for I tire of this rain."

I look at the fires still burning before turning my face up to the sky weeping tears I never will. "Yes, Dark Reign." I say, not even curious how he knew the true depth of my powers.

I lift my hands and close my eyes, taking hold of the power within me, rising it up forcefully and grasping the clouds covering the earth. Dark Reign's power touches mine and the rain stops, the sun shines.

"Do you feel it?" He asks as I smile at the sun, my eyes still closed.

"Yes." He has given me his first Dragon Right and it is divine. Evil yet divine. And it is ours. "Yes."
