Have you read the documentation on Folder items? Folder from Writing.Com 101 Create/Edit a Folder from Writing.Com 101 Would an analogy help, maybe? The "content" of a Folder item (what is in the Body text area) is like the label on a file folder in a filing cabinet. After you label the file folder and put it in the cabinet, then you can add other pieces of paper to it. But even though they are stored between the halves of the folded cardstock, each of those pieces of paper is not "part of" the folder. They are separate pieces of paper. Similarly, the Static items you want to put into a Folder item do not become "part of" the Folder item. You do not put them "in" the Folder item when you create the Folder item. The Body text box just requires some text. Any text. It could all be X's and it wouldn't matter. "Filing" the Static items happens afterward -- with changing just the location field of the Static items using one of the three methods I described in my previous post. Then when you view the Folder item, the system shows you the "label" of the Folder item, and underneath the "label", it automatically lists any Static items with that Folder item as their location. But if you open the edit page of a Folder item, you will see nothing that says what Static items are in the listing. The edit page is just for the "label." Two separate steps. 1. Create the folder with a label. 2. Move pieces of paper to the folder. Hope that helps. Northernwrites___ "Invalid Item" : ~~Image #6000 Sharing Restricted~~ ~~Image #603504 Sharing Restricted~~ |
