May, okay!
Welcome back Charlie! Nice to hear from ya.

PS: I would enjoy tackling more of the tasks in future months. I’m too slow to do em all or half, nor do I have any suggestions for future ones. Just not a talent of mine... but working out brain kinks are, so thank you!

Task 1: "April Summary - MHWA 5.1
How was April for you? What did you do last month? What was the best thing that happened in April? What was the worst?

Task 2:
Misdiagnosis happens quite often since many forms of mental illness have similarities to one another. Have you ever experienced being misdiagnosed? If so, share your journey with us. If not, find an article or blog online that tells a story of someone else who was misdiagnosed and share what you learned.

Task 3:
Write about health care where you live. Does it provide adequate care for those with mental health issues? What kind of care is available?

Task 4:
Put together a playlist of songs or movies that comfort you when you're feeling down.

Task 5:
Tell us about one of your happiest memories.

Task 6:
Do you believe alternative treatments (like homeopathy, acupuncture, meditation, reflexology, etc.) help in the treatment or management of mental illness? If so, which do you think are the best? If you've never tried any, research and discuss some options.

Task 7:
Review 3 "Mental Health Writers Alliance" members.

Task 8: "Go Tell Alice - MHWA 5.8
Write about something you wish you could tell someone, but can't.

Task 9:
How good are you about getting out of your comfort zone? Do you tend to try new things? Does anything hold you back?

Task 10:
Share something that made you laugh or smile recently. It can be a joke, quote, video clip, etc...

Task 11:
Write a letter to your former self. What advice would you give to a younger version of you?

Task 12:
Have you ever been involved in any non-profits or advocacy programs for mental health sufferers? What did you do for the organization? How was the experience? If not, research a couple non-profits that deal with mental health issues. Would you be interested in working with them? Why or why not?

Task 13: "I Bleed it Out - MHWA 5.13
Talk about something that made you angry this week.

Task 14:
Good deed task! Do a good deed around WDC and then come back and tell us what you did.

Task 15:
Write a story or poem from the point-of-view of a therapist treating a patient with any type of mental illness.

Task 16:
Addiction and metal illness often go hand-in-hand with each other. Why do you think this is, and which comes first?

Task 17:
Review an item that was written by one of your fellow challengers for May's round of "MHWA Monthly Mental Health Challenge" .

Task 18:
What forms of art therapy do you practice other than writing? Do you draw, play an instrument, garden, sew, scrapbook, do photography? What forms of art therapy would you like to take up in the future? Do you even think art therapy works?

Task 19:
Research eating disorders. This covers quite a lot, but you can focus on one if you want. Link an article you read, and discuss your own thoughts on the subject. Have you learnt anything new? Do you already have experience of an eating disorder?

Task 20:
Send a cNote to a WDC member who is struggling this month. You don't need to tag that person here. Just link the cNote shop you used.

Task 21:
Done
Comment on 3 separate blog entries by your fellow "MHWA Monthly Mental Health Challenge" members.

Task 22:
A friend is having a panic attack and they come to you for advice. How do you help them? What are steps that help when you're having a panic attack? If you've never had one, research and suggest some potential remedies.

Task 23:
Visit "MHWA Retreat" and respond to the Topic of the Week in the forum. Then respond to two other "Mental Health Writers Alliance" members who answered the Topic of the Week.

Task 24:
Do you feel like your mental health challenges have in some ways been a blessing for helping others? Would you say it is worth it or not? Are there any other positive outcomes of your mental health issues?

Task 25:
Find one item on WDC about a specific mental illness. Leave a thorough, in-depth review linking back to the "MHWA Monthly Mental Health Challenge" forum. To do this, just type "Invalid Item somewhere in your review.

Task 26:
Are there any websites other than WDC that lift your spirits? Write about some of them. If not, research and discuss a few sites that might help when you need a mood boost.

Task 27: "Dream Hijacker - MHWA 4.27
Sometimes dreams are symbolic to what is going on in our minds. Tell about a dream or nightmare that really affected you and what you think it means.

Task 28:
How do you handle criticism or rejection? How do you respond? Does it negatively affect you? If not, what advice would you give to someone who does not handle criticism or rejection well?

Task 29:
Resentment, someone once said is like grabbing a hot coal to throw at someone else, you only succeed in burning your hand. What are your thoughts on this? Is there anyone you currently resent?

Task 30: "Rage, Rage!
Write a short story or poem in the 'psychology' genre.

Task 31:
Give us a list of some potential tasks for next month's "MHWA Monthly Mental Health Challenge" . Get creative!
