Form: Lento  


Number of Lines: 8


Rules:
*BulletR* A Lento consists of two quatrains with a fixed rhyme scheme of abcb, defe as the second and fourth lines of each stanza must rhyme.

*BulletR* To take it a step further, but not required, try rhyming the first and third lines as well as the second and fourth lines of each stanza in this rhyming pattern: abab, cdcd.

abab, defe

Choices for the poets to make this week: Your poem can be about any topic.


Example:

Denunciation

Despise me, I am your wretched slave,
Revise not your ways, how you treat me.
Chastise me with your insensate words,
Disguise goodness, so others will not see.

Inflict accusations so I might surrender,
Predict deadly disaster my fortune-teller,
Verdict of your frustration I await to hear,
Evict me from your fruitless life forever.
