Celebrate WDC's 9th B'day with this unique contest run by Team India! The theme is: NINE.
Nine, Nine, Nine!

Writing.com is celebrating its ninth birthday this month, and to celebrate this, "Team India"  has thought up this interesting contest, which we are sure you will all enjoy. So, read on.

The contest opens on Monday 21st September 2009 and will run till the 15th of October 2009. Any member from any case colour may join in. All you have to do is to write a story or a poem (see details below) featuring the number NINE in as many ways as possible. There could be nine characters, nine locations, the number nine may be a clue in a murder mystery, nine may be the good luck charm for the main protagonist, nine emotions could be described ... and so on. The more the number NINE features in the story/poem - not physically only, but even as a concept, the more are your chances of winning!

This contest is inspired by an idea given by Team India member bas . Thank you, Satish!

RULES


1. Write a story (not more than 2000 words) or poem (not more than 24 lines) on one of the following themes:

a. Birthday
b. Celebration
c. Fun and enjoyment
d. Contests and games
e. Winning and losing.

2. The item should be newly created for the contest and the {bitem: } link should be posted in the forum with the title: Entry: Story/Poem: Theme - "-" where you mention which theme from among the five you have selected.

3. Items should be rated 13+ or below in keeping with the rating of this forum.

4. The last date for submission is 15th October 2009, and your entry should be posted before 11:59 p.m., WDC time, on that day, into this forum. Late entries will not be considered.

5. You may edit the entry as often as you like till the deadline, but not after it.

6. Post the following line with the WritingML at the bottom of your item (copy *Paste* this, please, without the quotes):

"Written for {item:1599157} sponsored by {item:1260405}".

That's it.
