Writing a prequel to Beauty and the Beast - Need ideas on why the prince is unkind |

Hello all! I am currently writing a prequel to Beauty and the Beast, all about the life of the Enchantress, her backstory, how she meets the prince, and under what circumstances she feels its necessary to change him into the beast at the end. What I'm looking for are "red flags" that you would see in a persons behavior. For example, you're living with someone new, trying to figure them out - They're relatively a good person, but then you notice some red flags that makes them seem negative, controlling, mean, unkind, in their actions either to you, or to other people. What would those actions be? What would you consider a red flag? Any help would be fantastic! Thank you - LKWyman |
