When I lived in Arizona I used to make chaparral tea and rinse my mouth with it. I read later that in one study chapparal could cut cavities by 72%. The way my mouth feels I think this is true. I also drink the tea. It is said to fight cancer and I believe it. I feel better when I take it.

About 12 years ago four people said chaparral tea taken internally could cause liver damage, so the FDA issued a warning not to take it internally. But it was subsequently discovered that the four people involved already had bad livers before they ever took chaparral.

Chaparral applied as an oinment is said to fight skin cancer.
