Poets' Practice Pad

Rebellious

I sit at a box, day in, day out,
My thoughts and opinions to tout.
Swirls of imagination are always with me:
Laws of rules and regulations to flout.

Rectangular implements, straight-sided tools
Regimented shapes, and my inspiration cools.
Bring back the loopy, the wispy and soft,
Replace structure with more satisfactory fuels.



I feel like I'm cheating just picking a prompt at random, but I chose one that imediately sparked an idea.
