We judges all choose our top five poets, and then assign point values to them based on their ranking from 1-5. That's how we've judged all of the rounds, and that's how we judged this round. In most cases, our choices were pretty similar - in this case they were a bit different - and that can be attributed to what a great job ALL TEN OF YOU did with the prompts and your poems! To say this was a difficult choice for us would be an understatement, believe me! So ..... after adding up all the points - here is what the totals added up to ...... A THREE-WAY TIE for First Place!         TIED FOR FIRSTZoo - Salted and Roasted  , Dale Arthur , and Katya the Poet  Will receive 250,000 GPs and Poetry Merit Badges Because there are three people in first place - the next two in our top five have been awarded 4th and 5th place instead of 2nd and 3rd .... FOURTH PLACEDiane Will receive 100,000 GPs and a Poetry Merit Badge FIFTH PLACEWill receive 50,000 GPs and a Poetry Merit Badge Phyllis  CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL FIVE WINNERS!!! And CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL TEN FINALISTS!!! And make sure to check out the Green Room later this evening for additional awards (Judges Choice and a few others will be announced tonight)!   |
