What about how ridiculous the technology mish-mash was on the new/old "ENTERPRISE"? I mean they begged borrowed and stole from every era and threw it together in as goofy a manner as Tom Paris' set-up for the controls on the DELTA FLYER! At least Tom explained that his endeavor was a deliberate homage to Flash Gordon/ Captain Proton 50's era science fiction, but this was supposed to be brave and new! IMAX sensory overload is not the answer to this weak film with its unoriginal, obsession-bent antagonist a-la (AGAIN) Melville's characterization of Captain Ahab. All that money and they can't buy a new metaphor?!?!?!?!

As a fan, I say they owed us more than this and I am sorry but for most of the movie I did keep envisioning SYLAR.

Call me when they do an all-out BORG ORIGINS film concept. THAT would be worth watching...
